“Not the best in town but its quiet and from my experience, clean. Also got smoke rooms, an extra point for me. Always stay there when I'm in town for a day or two.”

“We had a room block set up with the Marriot almost a year in advance from our wedding date. They held the rooms until one month prior to our wedding date. They provided me with a super easy link for guests to use for booking. They were super helpful and accommodating to all questions I had. I would email them for updates on the rooms being booked and they would send me a list of who had booked so far. We were not responsible for any rooms not booked within the block. I was also able to drop of gift bags for those guests a few days before the wedding. My husband stayed in a room with the groomsmen the night before and they got ready at the hotel the morning of the wedding. They allowed for an early check in so that they could do the pictures in our suite rather than the room the boys slept in the night before. They were also great about doing a late check out the day after our wedding! The night of our wedding when we arrived they had set up champagne, two glasses, water & snacks for us with a congratulations card when we arrived!”

“While I was staying at Four Points by Sheraton I had received great service from Adriana. She was very nice and welcoming to me. Adriana made me an amazing Mac n cheese and had the nicest smile while doing it. Her kindness to me is definitely going to be missed when I leave the hotel.”

“I had my wedding at Fox Hollow in their Winter Garden room and I had the best experience. My Maitre'd was Samir and my bridal attendant was Noelia. Both were fantastic. Samir made sure every detail did not go missed and he was so nice! My wedding was in December and I was so cold Noelia came out with WARM LINENS to warm me up! Who would do that? I will definitely never forget my experience. She was so sweet and made sure I had water when I was on the dance floor. The service alone was worth what I had paid. Fox Hollow definitely knows what they are doing. I asked my guests after the wedding how everything was and they felt there was so much food and everything was wonderful. The only call out was that some of the station servers during cocktail hour were very slow. There were some long lines of people waiting to get their food. Other than that I had a wonderful time and really would recommend them to any person wanting to get married at the Fox Hollow.”

“Beautiful antique style hotel. The doormen are all so nice. I was always greeted upon entering the hotel. The rooms are so comfy. I appreciated the robe and slippers since I’m never a fan of walking on the floors of hotels. I’ll definitely be back!”

“We stayed here for my little brother's wedding. They got married at a different place but used this as the hotel for everyone to stay at. Right from walking into the hotel I knew it was going to be a good stay. We were greeted with hot, tasty apple cider. We checked in and even though I had activated the digital key we received a physical one. I recommend getting one regardless because I had constant issues with the digital key. The room was incredibly clean and the beds were nice. Though I wish there had been pen and paper. Our kids adored the pool, they spent hours in it and we really enjoyed the hot tub. Also want to say thank you to the front desk for always being so kind. The fitness center is fantastic. Clean with plenty of options and hot water for my tea.”

“The reviews were spot on. The people were so nice and my room was comfortable and spotless. The place is outdated but that’s built into the price. I’ll stay there again in a heart beat!”

“This is a great place to stay. Love the location but mostly love the service from the sales manager, Linda, to the all of the wonderful people cleaning the rooms, and Jose the chef. They all make your stay wonderful.Linda is really amazing. She goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and help in any way. Here's just one of the example: I asked her if I could borrow a pencil and she found only one that was not sharpened. When I got back to my room late that night, there were 2 sharpened pencils on the desk in my room. She went totally out of her way.Thank you for the great experience.”

“My parents stayed here when everyone else was 20 mins away because it was the only hotel that did not allow pets. They had to switch rooms but the second was great. No pool and the fireplace is only for certain members which is really lame. You might miss the turn into the hotel the first time you drive there because the map might direct you wrong and it's not intuitive. The lobby and the hotel itself are beautiful.”

“Overall a pretty good hotel. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, and the staff is friendly. The free breakfast was pretty good quality. Plenty of free parking around the building. That said, the rooms could use a bit of maintenance, there were a lot of dings and dents in the furniture and walls of my room.”

“The first time we were in this hotel , we're happy with the price and the room. It was very clean , looks great and smells good. The room has everything and the AC was really cold , we had to turned it off.The second time though wasn't as good as the first time ?, bathroom sink was a little clogged and the room was on a smaller side. The bed was comfortable but was sliding down a bit and because of that , it made a noise.Food & drinks: Plenty of stores around , you can easily find a gas station and banks.”

“I’m most impressed with Bob at the front desk - he is so accommodating and friendly. This place is being updated on exterior nicely so I know it will be even better but I’m very satisfied with the rooms as every one is updated and has all you need. Staff is great. This hotel is a favorite.”

“Clean comfortable rooms. All the staff were friendly, everyone from the front desk people to the maintenance person in the hallway. Breakfast was good, scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, assortment of breads/bagels, cereal, yogurt, fruit. The bacon was a bit odd; there were some very cooked, crispy pieces and then some almost undercooked pieces. All was hot and replenished often. The eggs were surprisingly flavorful compared to most hotel breakfasts.”

“My husband and I flew in on a red eye and the staff was gracious enough to allow us an early check in. The rooms were nice and spaceous. Not to mention that the whole place was decorated for Christmas. Very beautiful. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. Francisco helped us with pretty much everything. We ate at the morning Cafe and then dined in the evening at the bar area. Ambience was great and the staff at the bar and diner were super accommodating. We had a great experience and when we come back to NY we will stay here again. Thank you Holiday Inn staff for a good time. ?”

“Good hotel for a short stay. Staff was nice enough to extend my check out to an extra hour. Room was tidy and organized. Bath tub didn’t hold the water which was funny. Bed was comfortable, sheets cleaned and pillows were actually really good! I’d give them another chance in the future! Close to TGI Friday’s too for a quick bite. They serve a continental breakfast, which is even close to the pic in their website but wasn’t bad either. I’d recommend this place.”

“Service was amazing from the doormen to the front desk. With several wedding parties on site that weekend, front desk made sure all guests were taken care of. Bartenders were also amazing and attentive, and was very happy about the prices for drinks. Not expensive and the food was great. My daughter got up just to go to breakfast. Great place to stay at , will definitely go back there and stay again while in long Island.Nearby activities: Malls and restaurants are in close by on and off the highway access”

“False advertising on multiple accounts. Should be sued/fined. Difficult to get an answer. Booked through some nonsense directly with them, they botched my name, can't find reservation because it says I don't have an account. Bad bad bad. Too many issues to list them all. Will not be back. Also, the chicken Tikka masala was pretty bad. Sauce was good, but I only wanted it on the rice because the chicken was so bad.”

“It's mostly a place for temporary housing, there is no dish ware, utensils, and the bathroom faucet is leaking near the top of the sink. I visited Trader Joe's, and the Hicksville Memorial Library, and there were a long distance from the motel. I walked to both places.Rooms: On the whole it's a decent room, however there's a leaking faucet.Nearby activities: There are no nearby activities.Safety: I'm safe here, and they have a very secure system.Food & drinks: There are no meals served except, hot/cold cereal, coffee, and tea are provided by self service machines.”

“The newly renovated specialty room was nicer than I expected, the lobby was decorated to fit the holiday season and front desk was simple to deal with. I would recommend The Pines to anyone looking for a better experience for an affordable price.”

“Our experience here was nothing short of exceptional. I don't understand how some reviewers felt otherwise. My wife and I renewed our vows at The Mansion at Glen Cove on Oct 20th, 2023. It was basically a wedding celebration. The event coordinator, Astrid, was the best! She was so attentive to detail, and was always available to talk to us about anything during the planning phases leading up to our event. She truly seems to love her job and wants peoples events to be perfect. The Maitre D, Mike, was the man. His attention to detail was spot on. From making sure everyone looked there best, to making sure the space was decorated and organized perfectly, to keeping the timing and schedule on point. We had some very last minute changes we needed, and there were no complaints, just fast problem solving. His attitude was light hearted, but focused. The food was also INCREDIBLE. I've NEVER been to a wedding or coordinated event where the food was so good. The head chef went out of his way to accent the Colombian roots of my wife and her family when he did NOT have to. His staff were all friendly, and he was very reachable for questions prior to our event. The cake he made was also gorgeous. The bridal attendant for my wife was also so on top of things. She was there for absolutely ANYTHING my wife needed. She intuitively knew when to fix the dress for photos and went above and beyond to make sure my wife didn't have to stress about anything.I know I'm forgetting to single some people out and I feel awful about it. There are at least 2 or 3 other people that really did a truly wonderful job to make this day perfect for us and our guests both on the day, and leading up to it.Now of course, I have to mention the Mansion itself. This place is a work of art. The grounds are beautiful, and the rooms of the mansion itself is like historical art. Its truly a special place. We stayed in both the honeymoon suit, which was a large, gorgeous room with a soaking tub, and a luxury double room which was more like a nice, typical hotel room. I've read some reviews that were disappointed in the rooms. I understand they are remodeling many rooms so maybe those people got old rooms? Ours and that of our guests were exactly what you'd expect of a standard luxury hotel room.I've also seen some reviews comment on the remodeling upgrades, saying it negatively impacted their stay. This is silly. The mansion sends out emails and even has a print out upon check in explaining what they are trying to accomplish with the remodeling. During our event, the pool and spa weren't available due to this. Who cares? I think it's unfair to give a place a poor review because they are actively working to improve their amenities. The ONLY negative of our entire experience there, was that there were a few times that the front desk was not on the same page as the rest of the staff. They weren't rude, they were doing their job, they just weren't aware of who we were, or what was going on. Nothing that can't be addressed. It's important all staff are on the same page, especially if someone is having a special event and has pre-made arrangements.Anyway, the overall feeling is that my wife and I wish we could have an experience like what the mansion provided for us every weekend if we could! It was truly perfect and we are so grateful to all the staff and everyone that made it possible. We will definitely be recommending the Mansion to people in the future and can't wait to use them again for our next event, or even for a weekend getaway. Thanks!Rooms: Updated rooms were extremely nice, and the honeymoon suit is beautifulNearby activities: Lots of nice things. to do nearby. NYC is 45m away, the beach is close, and there are farmers markets and nice restaurants a plentySafety: felt extremely safeFood & drinks: Food was exceptionalNoteworthy details: The dining and event staff are exceptional”
