I asked Kevin if he could fix me some fresh pizza and hotdogs, and he obliged! Not only did he oblige, but he went on to ensure that the temperature of the meat I was about to consume was safe! He went so far as to explain the standard AND show me the temperature so I would feel comfortable! This is an example of next level customer service that is so far removed from our current way of life. “Today, I stopped by to get something to drink because it is extremely hot. I always get my usual pineapple Jarritos and a cup with ice. The lady at the register was very lovely, provided great customer service, and had a huge smile on her face. I was walking with my son when something caught his eye in one of the aisles. Of course, it was the toy section! I told him, “We’re not getting any toys today.” She proceeded to compliment my son and asked if he was 4 or 5 years old. I told her he will be turning 5 this Thursday, the 13th. She then came over to me and said, “I’ll gift him the toy for his birthday.” I was shocked because I have never experienced something like that before. But that’s how you know there are still good people in this world. I know it’s just a material thing, but it wasn’t about the toy. It was about the kindness behind the gesture.
