The management team - Jaime, Brandon, Dave, are always courteous and the techs do a great job. Just genuinely good people.
Last time I visited I forgot my laptop in the waiting area. They made sure it was kept safe/secure till I could come back and retrieve it - that’s integrity and service above and beyond.
Both management and techs will tell it like it is and won’t push you to get services you don’t need. They take you into the shop and actually show you what they’re seeing on your vehicle so you know they’re not pulling your leg.
A couple times they’ve said “You’re going to need X service soon, we can do it today, but if you can’t afford that now, you can probably get by for a couple thousand more miles,” or “Hey, this is a legitimate danger, you need to get this fixed ASAP.” But they’ll listen and work with you and won’t pressure you into a decision one way or the other. That’s rare to find these days.
They also offer a military discount (or other discount if better than military) and are willing to match & beat competitor prices from the local dealerships for services like oil changes and alignments if you can show them what you were quoted. If it’s something they can’t match, they’ll tell you up front, so no surprise charges.
Reliable, fast, reasonable, and genuinely kind to be around. They don’t tolerate nonsense from their mechanics and won’t keep anyone on who’s not doing a good job or not treating customers well. They’ve earned my business time and again.
Pretty much every Mavis I’ve been to in central New York has been similar, but these guys stand out. Best basic maintenance place in North Utica.”

“My car was having some issues and I was told to go to Boehlings because, as my friend who referred me there stated, "I always go there, because they deal with me honestly, and ive never had any issues with them". I decided to take my car to be serviced at Boehlings based on my good friend's trustworthy referral. The owner is so nice, he drove me home after I dropped my car off at the shop and was about to order an uber to get home. He said, "No way, don't take an uber. I'll drive you home." I was so impressed at this courtesy. The owner is somewhat quiet and reserved, which might seem rude to people who dont know any better, but let me just say he is far from rude. In fact, he is so sincere and polite. He expressed sincere concern about my issues and gave me honest advice. Plus his prices are fair and not the least bit inflated. My overall experience with Boehlings left a great impression on me and the service was seamless and professional. I would give them 10 out of 10 stars, and will return there the next time my car needs servicing.”

Their customer service is five stars, Mark was able to get me in a lease no problem the same day, and their cosmetic repairs along with mechanical repairs were done excellently. They will give you all the detail you could possibly need. Without a doubt I would recommend coming here for collision repairs, mechanical repairs, inspections, etc. ??”

“We were on our way to New Paltz to pick up our grandson from college. Just a little south of Boonville the right rear tire went flat…totally flat so we could not drive at all. The AAA Driver from Rensen was there to assist us in less than 30 minutes. He then took us to Maugeri’s Auto Repair. The service was sensitive to our need to get to NewPaltz as quick as we could because the dorm was closing. They ordered the spare tire quickly for us and mounted the tire as quick as possible. Kudos to the staff for their excellent and thoughtful service.”

“A little over a year ago I had brakes done on my Hyundai Kona . A week ago I was hearing a whining noice coming from one of my front wheels. It turns out I had a bad wheel bearing and my front breaks were bad. The manager at the New York Mills Monro suggested that I have the dealer check out the bearing which I did . Happens that it was covered under warranty. I went back to Monro and the manager Joseph covered my brakes under warranty as well. There are honest people out there who don't take advantage of their customers.”
