“I walked into the store when they first opened their doors and had the pleasure of meeting Dhira, the new store owner! So helpful and knowledgeable about products and totally not a pushy salesman! Have met two other young men that work there and they too were so helpful and knowledgeable! The thing I find most impressive is that they always remember me when I walk in and I have always been greeted with a smile upon my entry! Loyal customer forever! Thank you! ?”

“I like this Stop and Shop because it's big and has most of the items that I need, for the most part. The only downside to this store is their produce section. About a year or two ago, I saw the produce manager, John, briefly wiping his nose and then handling the fruit. I had to speak with one of the supervisors at that time about him. I can only trust that he was spoken to. Although I don't see him wearing gloves, which he should. Fast forward in 2026, I saw this nasty guy tasting some of the grapes in a bag, then proceeding to spit a seed or something out. Again, I had to tell one of the supervisors about it. This time, it was Chantise who I spoke with. She didn't seem too friendly. I was hoping that she, or one of the store associates would confront the customer about the incident, but the store has a policy to not confront customers.
Please be aware of some of the produce at the store. If you get non packaged fruit or vegetables, please wash them because you never know who is handling them. Other than that, the store is fine.”
“After seeing a couple of posts on Instagram, we decided to check out Sansone Market in Garden City Park. While it's not a huge space it is loaded with lots of Italian products. Everything from packages of sweets to canned goods to fresh cheese and meat to pizzas. The back of the store has a long deli counter that has a bunch of made to order sandwiches to choose from along with some premade food. There is even a cheese counter with tons of options. Their freezer section includes items like pizza, ravioli and even bake your own sfogliatelle. Then you come upon the pizza counter. Fresh made 12" pizza is available Wednesday through Sunday. We brought a Marinara pizza home, the crust was lovely and the sauce had a great freshness to it. They also had a bunch of items premade that we couldn't pass up on. The Picante Stromboli was divine. Filled with grilled chicken, broccoli rabe and spicy peppers. It was so delicious. The zucchini pie was sort of a frittata and it was heavenly. They also offer coffee and a small display of baked items like cookies and cannoli. The front of the store has some tables where you can enjoy your purchases if you wish. Sansone Market is a little slice of Italy right on Jericho Turnpike.”
“Price is very reasonable.
The only thing is cashier line most of the times are only 1-2 .. hence checkout is slow.
Quality of food is very good”
“One of the best-run businesses in the NY area. Really wonderful food and shopping experience. Not cheap, but you get value for money. For example, their beef is priced above the supermarket, but well below the level of the really good gourmet butchers - but the quality is as just as good as the best in the area. So in that sense it's a bargain. I hope it never changes.”
