Petco
25451 Horace Harding Expy, Little NeckAlways clean and though mostly my visits have been for the vet, I always leave with a purchase. That being said, the cashier is always friendly. The person who checks in the veterinary clients is a rock star. Quick, efficient, attentive and helpful. The vets are always patient and take their time to explain things or answer questions.

Veterinary Care Group - Little Neck
249-36 Horace Harding Expy, Little NeckHonestly, this place is lovely. I have been to many vets over the years and I have never felt as safe as I do here. They do not shame- my cat is overweight and they remained focused on a plan, not on making me feel like a bad pet parent. Whats even crazier is that my cats do not fear the carrier. While they will cry in the car once they are in the vet office they are calm. They come home relaxed. I think about all the trauma my other cats had at previous vets and it honestly breaks my heart knowing this was an option the whole time. VCG are profoundly lovely and caring people.

Animal Medicine and Surgery of Little Neck
47-41 Little Neck Pkwy, Little NeckDr. Kwasnik at Animal Medicine & Surgery of Little Neck is everything you hope to find in a veterinarian—and then some. From the moment we walked in as new clients with our puppy, we felt genuinely welcomed and completely at ease.
Dr. Kwasnik’s care went far beyond a routine visit. He took the time to truly get to know our puppy, explained everything clearly and thoughtfully, and never once made us feel rushed. As first-time clients, we had plenty of questions, and he answered each one with patience, compassion, and a depth of knowledge that immediately inspired confidence.
What stood out most was how present he was—he listened, he explained, and he made sure we understood not just the “what,” but the “why.” It’s clear that he doesn’t just practice veterinary medicine; he cares deeply about the animals and the families who love them.
We left the appointment feeling reassured, informed, and grateful to have found a veterinarian we trust. Dr. Kwasnik is a true professional and a rare find. We are incredibly thankful to have him caring for our puppy and highly recommend him to anyone looking for exceptional veterinary care.

MARATHON CAFE
46-19 Marathon Pkwy, Little NeckNo Tipping Here!
.
Walk in, get seated, pick your language (English or Chinese menu). Order at the counter, grab your own utensils — they’ll bring the food.
.
This might be the best HK-style cafe I’ve tried.
.
What we ordered:
Thick Egg & Spam Sandwich ($6.50) — Fluffy, buttery egg. Spam’s spam. Bread was the only letdown: dry. If they used milk brea, it would’ve been perfect!
.
Fish Ball & Radish Rice Rolls ($9.95) — Drenched in sauce, 4 bouncy fish balls, 2 chunky radish slices. Solid, but wish the rolls came piping hot.
.
Beef Macaroni with Onsen Egg ($13.95) — Rich, thick, not-too-sweet tomato broth. Corkscrew pasta soaks it up perfectly. Fatty hotpot beef, grilled and placed ln top with a runny egg. Chef’s kiss.
.
HK French Toast ($9.95) — Same bread as the sandwich, but toasted = no dryness. Peanut butter brings the salt, syrup the sweet. Addictively good.
.
We loved it so much we grabbed scallion chicken rice and ox tongue spaghetti to go (for someone else — next time, it’s ours).
.
Prices run higher, but portions are huge, no tip needed, and entrees come in to-go containers. Can’t finish? Just ask — they’ll hook you up with a lid and bag.

Five Guys
254-55 Horace Harding Expy, Little NeckVisited two days in a row during their BOGO, somehow even though they were the busiest I’ve ever seen them (20 people, waiting for for their orders) everyone was doing their job, working so hard and as a team, getting everyone’s order correct and food out as fast as they could without doing shortcuts. the staff communicated extremely efficiently and effectively together. Props to all the employees working during the BOGO.
