Just moved here and was super nervous about coming here based on all these negative reviews! For context, my last local USPS was an absolute dream with great customer service, rarely any long queues, and all my mail made it to me and to any destinations I sent them to.
Today, I went in for a weight check for a couple different zip codes and April was very helpful/informative. I asked her about the self service kiosk and apparently I used it incorrectly, which is why I kept getting a really expensive shipping rate.
Anyway, wanted to come here to say it wasn't that bad, but we shall see how things go!”

“I had the first time passport application here. showed up little early than the appointment time. No lines. Shayne was the clerk who took care of my application, very professional and with lots of patience. The process was quick, around 15 minutes. There's 15 minutes street parking in front of the post office, and 1 hour parking in the area. I had no problem with finding parking.”
“Will and Keisha are the best Postal workers in the Post Office system. I have dealt with many post offices between Brooklyn and the Bronx and they both are the nicest and most professional of all the employees I've dealt with. The Post office should have them give classes on courtesy and professionalism. Thank you for your great service.”
“We were at the post office today getting passports done for our 3 kids, and Jose was absolutely amazing. He made what could’ve been a super stressful process actually smooth and even fun. He was patient, helpful, and so good with the kids — cracking jokes and keeping things light while still getting everything done right. You can tell he actually cares and enjoys helping people, which is rare these days. We’ve dealt with grumpy attitudes at other places before, but Jose really stood out in the best way. “Went here to mail off two packages. The lady behind the counter was very nice and helpful in helping me decide on which envelope to mail my items in. Along with explaining to me the different shipping rates. Also the trip was quick, there was no line.”
“The gentleman that has been there for years is carrying this post office on his back!! He’s the nicest person I have ever encountered that works at a post office. Usually these people are rude and disgusting for no reason. I forgot his name but he is a light skinned black man. I ship packages at least 10 times a week and I specifically stand and wait for him. He should train these incoming employees so they can see how to treat people. Give him a raise immediately!”

“I have a PO Box at this location, and was expecting a package. However, the tracking info was giving me a different PO location.
I went to the window and had the pleasure of speaking to Mr. Javier Velazquez. Mr. Velazquez listened and explain to me in detail the process, why I was receiving a different PO location. He checked my info and retrieved my package. I left the PO with my package (I thought it lost).
Mr. Velazquez wasn't nasty and didn't have an attitude. He was very helpful and informative.

“Vanessa was the ONLY postal worker in the facility working in front. She handled all customers (passport and regular customers). She did a phenomenal job, kept her composure, was kind and super helpful! 10/10 would recommend!!!”
“All these people complaining maybe the ones who don’t pay their bills. Never had problem here. Yes they can get busy and things maybe slightly delayed but not terribly. Yes everyone double parks at every business on Gramatan Avenue not in owners control. If you are using this as a business address then pay your business bills. Once again folks not supporting black business.”

“Stopped by earlier in the week to send out some items I had to return. I showed up with no box and completely unprepared. The worker there was beyond kind, patient and helpful. She did not rush me, helped me find a box that would fit my items and helped me get it sealed up. First ever positive experience at a USPS location.”
“I had a nice experience at the main Scarsdale post office today, Monday October 23rd. The kind clerk helped me out in processing an in-person change of address request. The clerks helped me out with a smile and it was a plus that there was no line and ample street parking!”
“Easily the best post office I’ve ever used. They have a parking lot (!!) and I’ve gotten to know both postmasters and most of the clerks over the past decade. The staff is professional and efficient and even though at busy times it backs up easily (credit a lot of privileged suburbanites who use the USPS all of once a year and equally unprepared college kids from the two local schools), I have always trusted this post office and the excellent service and support they’ve long given me and my business.”

“Eddie helped me with my children’s passports and he made the entire process so easy. He answered questions about the paperwork and was knowledgeable about a unique situation we were dealing with. He was meticulous but everything was done quickly and perfectly. My daughter is 2 1/2 and my son is 7 months, they were both having a bad day because a lot had gone wrong, but Eddie made it brighter. He was extremely kind and patient with my both of them. In my opinion, Eddie is worth more than 5 stars.”

“This is the best post office because of Justin. A couple of the other reps are nice, But Justin goes out of his way to be pleasant, efficient, friendly and best of all, knows his customers by name. I love it. I love how he greets his customers. It makes all the difference.”

I always wonder how come deliveries are quicker when shipped from this USPS or the one in Rye, than when shipped from other area sites? The difference is noticeable and why we travel a bit out of our way for our mailing needs.”
