“My experience at this bridal shop can only be described as magical, and Jamie, my stylist, truly felt like my fairy godmother. I had expected wedding dress shopping to be a long and stressful process, but they made it wonderfully easy. Jamie was incredibly patient. When I narrowed my options down to two dresses, she encouraged me to alternate between them multiple times to ensure I felt confident in my decision. The other ladies in the store also chimed in with their professional and supportive opinions, which I appreciated immensely.
After I tried on numerous dresses in a particular style, Jamie pulled out a dress completely out of left field as a palette cleanser. The speed at which I fell in love with her choice was shocking—she knew what I would adore, even before I did. Jamie’s expertise was evident—she had even designed one of my friend’s favorite dresses!
Throughout the entire process, Jamie was respectful of my budget, never pushing anything beyond my price range. She even worked with the owner to ensure everything stayed within my limits.

I needed to have my dress taken in quite a bit and I was worried because of the lace detail on the back. I was totally overwhelmed by the process of finding a wedding dress, and had started looking “late” by industry standards. I had googled a few bridal shops one day as I was panic browsing in Soho and saw I was steps away from one- Viero- that I’d never heard of and knew nothing about. I popped into the building and went straight up to their studio, to see if I could schedule an appointment. I met Diana who was so kind and helpful and the rest is history! The process of finding my dress there was so pleasant and easy. Diana and her team are lovely and accommodating and they truly helped me find a dress that made me feel beautiful.”

“I recently got married on 10/25/24 and although I didn’t find my dress at Kleinfeld after not one but 2 visits I have to say it was the most pleasant experiences I had in the entirety of my bridal journey. Michelle with the short blonde pixie cut was my bridal stylist and she was AMAZING. So amazing that I went back a second time. There were new dresses coming in that I was dying to try on. Michelle really helped envision my day on how I wanted to look and feel. She wasn’t pushy and worked within my budget. My second visit I kept comparing every dress to a dress I found in Philly. She told me as much as I want to sell you a dress ,if you keep comparing everything to that dress then go get your dress! I just felt like I couldn’t find a dress that could compare and I’m so happy that Michelle ultimately helped me make my decision. “Everyone at sew elegant was so kind! The only reason I’m removing a star is because of the price. I initially was quoted $1100 for taking in the waist ($500) and the hem ($600) for one dress, and another $600 for hemming a second dress. I decided I did not want to get any hemming done on both dresses, and just wanted my waist taken in for one dress. Suddenly, the price jumped from $500 to $750 since I was just getting the waist taken in. I asked for a cash discount and ended up paying $700 in cash to get just the waist taken in (not including the hem) for one dress - which was much pricier than expected. I’m thinking that it’s just NYC pricing and maybe I should have done more research beforehand. Just something to note for brides planning on visiting this tailor. Everyone is so kind and professional though. Also love how the dress turned out! Cannot wait for my big day :)”
