James and Jeff were the nicest most accommodating people I have met in the costumer service industry. The location is wonderful and I will stay at this hotel for all future trips to New York.

Home away from home …We met our Texas 25 son and his fiancée in New York City for a Thanksgiving 3-day getaway and wanted to stay within easy access of the NYC tourist must see sites. Casablanca was the perfect spot. The hotel was a clean, charming boutique hotel. It was a quiet spot but located just off Times Square. Convenient to all theaters, restaurants, shopping and lovely Bryant Park. Can walk pretty much anywhere. Another great amenity is having a 24-hour spot at Rick’s Café / Library lounge where we could take a break and have a snack or read. However, the best part of the experience may have been the staff. Every single person was friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. The people at the front desk were always very helpful and the manager went out of his way to make the Macy's parade a once in a lifetime experience for us all. Outstanding place to stay!

The hotel was very nice great location. The staff was terrific. James and Jeff were the best anything we ask for and a lot we didn't even ask for was in our room asap. Our family had a great experience here and would only stay while in NYC.

We quite love the Casablanca! It offers a quiet, charming, utterly welcome retreat in the heart of Midtown, steps from the hustle and bustle of Times Square. We've stayed here twice now, and it's become our first choice for visits to the city. With friendly staff, rooms larger than many in Manhattan, and an inviting lounge with a vintage vibe that offers a good continental breakfast until 10am, and snacks and (non-alcoholic) drinks all day, there's a lot to recommend this small jewel box hotel! After a brisk day walking the city, sitting in the lounge by the fire with a cappuccino or a sparkling water is a lovely respite. Rooms are attractive and nicely appointed. They don't include refrigerators, which would be a nice perk, but I haven't found the absence a problem. Most rooms don't offer much of a view, but they are scrupulously clean and astonishingly quiet for Midtown, and those things matter far more to me! And I find the old-world charm of the style vastly more appealing than many of the sleek, contemporary, all-steel-and-concrete hotels that pervade NYC these days. The location is terrific - it feels like EVERYTHING is close. Times Square is a half-block away, Bryant Park is around the block, and the theatre district is just a few minutes walk. Madison Square Gardens and Penn Station are a 10-minute walk, and there's a subway station a block away. For dining, the Casablanca adjoins Tony Di Napoli's family-style restaurant, which has great food and a lovely bar for an after-theatre drink. And just past that is the Mermaid Oyster Bar, offering a lovely seafood menu. And of course dozens of other options surround the immediate area.

I booked this hotel after the reviews and I’m so glad I did. The customer service here is exceptional. The location is perfect and right next to Times Square. The room was small as expected for NYC but the bathroom was a decent size. The rooms have bathrobes and slippers which is a nice touch. Our room 407 was quiet as was the hotel. There’s a 24 hour “cafe” with free drinks, coffee and snacks and a seating area which is nice. They also put drinking water in your room for you which is a nice touch. I can’t say enough about the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They also have a bellman at the door to help with bags and we always felt safe. It being a smaller hotel we never had to wait for the elevator. The only thing that I would maybe take 1/2 a star for was the heating. Our room was cold at first as our furnace was taking a while to kick in. They sent someone to our room to check it out and not to long after the heat kicked on. We really loved this hotel and will definitely stay again. Thank you to all the staff for a great stay! Highly Recommend.

This was my first time in NYC. What a perfect hotel location wise to everything! The staff is friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating, we were always greeted with a smile and was always offered assistance if needed! We had dry cleaning done and it was ready same day, we enjoyed the breakfast on the second floor, and we had a great time next door at Tony's Restaurant- great recommendation! Would definitely recommend a stay here, you are very close to everything! Thank you for a great stay, we appreciate the wonderful hospitality!

While the rooms could do with a bit of a freshen up, especially new lights, I LOVE this place. It is so calm inside despite the bedlam of Times Square outside, the staff are wonderful. And above all it is unique,

Our second stay with Casablanca Hotel. Couldn’t ask for a better location for Broadway musicals. Hospitality is perfect. They staff is friendly, consistent, and just genuinely cool. Also a great location for hopping on the train and visiting other parts of the city. We cannot wait to come back again.Despite being right in Times Square the rooms are very quiet too!

this was the first extended hotel stay for vacation I’ve ever had, and a Casablanca Hotel made it very stress-free and enjoyable. The staff was very knowledgeable, and for any small issues that I had to get resolved (a shower head had a bit of a leak,) they fixed it promptly.Rooms: I had the petite room, which was still very spacious for a taller and bigger guy like myself staying solo. I can imagine a group of too easily making the room work. I had ample room relative to the price and the location. I’d say it’s great value. I will warn though that as a taller, bigger guy, the toilet is a very tight squeeze.Nearby activities: you’re right in the heart of Times Square and Broadway and Seventh AvenueWalkability: The hotel is easily accessible on a narrow street, so you don’t have to worry about traffic. the Hotel Earth self is not terribly big so you can walk in get to your room through the elevator very quicklyFood & drinks: you get access to a 24 hour mini café, including continental breakfast from 7 to 10 AM but throughout the day they have refrigerated water refrigerated, sodas, simple snacks, all day coffee. it’s on the second floor which is not that big so it’s quite easy to get there and enjoy at all times.there is a Italian restaurant named Toni's that you can walk into connected to the hotel, and you can order room service from that restaurant. Brooklyn Diner is also nearby.

Very convenient to Times Square and the 42nd street subway station. They were so friendly with excellent service. Room was small but that is to be expected in the city. Also there are restaurants on either said and Virgil’s BBQ is one block over and would recommend. Would definitely stay again.

Right off of Times Square and close to everything! The staff were incredible and always willing to offer suggestions. Umbrellas were ready when it rained and breakfast was light but good for the day ahead. When we came back each night, there was always bottles of water in the lounge for us. I can’t say enough great things about this place!!

Front desk is on point!Lovely rooms, spotless facilities. Tedious and attentive staff.Location is perfect. Close the door for quiet, walk out the front doors and experience all all of the good, the bad, and the ugly that humanity can offer. Loved NYC!

My partner and I stayed at the Casablanca for our honeymoon, and I am so deeply glad we did. Our week in New York was fun, but also calamitous: most notably, Tropical Storm Ophelia brought record-breaking amounts of rain to the city all week, and I woke up sick with two days left in our trip. Through all the ups and downs of our stay, the team at the Casablanca ensured that we were, above all else, comfortable. I will forever be grateful for their hospitality. One of the reasons we chose to stay at the Casablanca was because of its location, and that paid off for us each day. We couldn't have chosen a better place to set up home base for this trip, chiefly because we planned for our honeymoon to be Broadway-heavy. We saw at least one show everyday, some of which we had tickets to before we got to New York, and some of which we got day-of tickets for at the TKTS booth in Times Square. This hotel is literally just steps away from Times Square. A couple blocks from the TKTS booth, and within easy walking distance of almost any Broadway show you could hope to see.Transit options are also very nearby with one large train (subway) station just one block over and another a block in the other direction, as well as numerous bus stops in the immediate vicinity. You might think the hotel would be loud, being so close to Times Square, one of the noisiest and most chaotic places in the known world, but my experience was that our room was very quiet. We had no view to speak of; the one window served as the entry point for the air conditioning unit, and it let some natural light in from a small inner courtyard. This could certainly be a detriment to some, but not having a view was fine with us. We needed the room to stay cool, quiet, and comfy for us to be able to rest between excursions, and it was absolutely perfect for that. There is a small breakfast spread in the lounge each morning, and I loved popping down to grab a banana, a hard-boiled egg, and a bagel -- the staff are happy to take it into the kitchen, toast it, and deliver it to you -- with some peanut butter. The same lounge remains open throughout the day with a small selection of snacks and drinks for guests to take as needed. We deeply appreciated being able to grab a cold Diet Coke out of the mini fridge after walking around town.Every time we returned to the hotel from a trip out, the staff welcomed us back. When we left, they reminded us to take an umbrella; they had several umbrellas ready and waiting for guests to use throughout the rainy week.Perhaps my only complaint about our business with the Casablanca Hotel is that I booked directly through their website, months prior to our planned arrival, on a "pay 50% now, pay 50% later" kind of rate, but I was not charged at that time. The initial payment was not charged until about 6 weeks prior to the visit, and the second half was supposed to be charged 30 days out. With both payments so close together, and with no notice that the first half of the payment had not and would not be pulled until a much later time, I was caught off guard by the timing of the payments. The manager I spoke with said they changed their approach to charging guests because the pandemic had made cancellations so much more common, which I completely understand. I think this was simply a communication problem and could have been resolved by updating the language on their website about the likely timing of the charges.I am truly so grateful that the place we chose for our stay was as comfortable and kind as the Casablanca Hotel. I hope we can return one day in the future, but in the meantime, I look forward to recommending it to all my friends and family.

Only steps from Times Square, this Moroccan-themed oasis is a refuge from the heart of party-time New York City! The staff is attentive and congenial. The breakfast bar and 24/7 guest lounge is beautifully designed and a welcome trip into the depths of Rick's Cafe from the movie Casablanca. There are at least a dozen Broadway theatres within easy walking distance; and the hotel is sandwiched between two of my favorite restaurants in midtown: USA Brooklyn Diner and Tony DiNapoli's Italian gastronomy.Rooms: Quintessential boutique comfort with old world ambience.Nearby activities: Just steps away from Broadway theatres and all the excitement of Times Square.Food & drinks: Adjacent to Tony DiNapoli's Italian restaurant and next door to The Brooklyn Diner.
