Tried to do a wire. The lady said her computer was down. The whole branch couldn't help me send a wire. What's the purpose in having an account with them???

Easy banking. Friendly service. Most times when I do bank I deal with the ATM but when I deal with a teller or bank representative, I am always greeted and helped with friendliness.

If I could rate "0" i would rate "0". I have been a customer for 35 years.I fear Citibank is going the way of Sears - too used to their big britchesI sold my house. Attorney had $172,000 in escrow from buyer. She wrote me a check. I deposited it into the Clifton Branch (Very nice teller). Has anyone seen how few branches Citibank has in NJ? 4 maybe 5 all extremely hard to get too. The one in Clifton, Waze directions put you on the wrong side of the highway and then if you guess where it might be and drive around for 1/2 an hour you may find it. The one in Florham Park no longer exists - but pops up on searches (web management 101 boys). I think NJ customer all need to find a bank that is there to service them - not their corporate bottom line. Anyway 3 days later (Saturday) I go to CostCo and my card is refused. We get on with Citibank and are talking to someone. They put us in hold and all of the sudden we are on a plus 1/2 hour wait. 45 minutes later we need to leave and give up. Sunday they are closed. Monday morning my wife tries & again is on a 1/2 hour plus hold and has to give up. Then I get on - 30 minutes later they pick up. -The $172,000 check is flagged suspicious. I cannot use the credit card, cannot use the debit card.- "When will the funds become available" - "I do not know". "I need to call your attorney who wrote the check." "OK" give her contact info "I called and they are not picking up."when are my funds available" "I do not know" "can I use the funds that were in there previously? "No" "Can anyone - anyone help me? Is there a supervisor I can talk to?" 10 minute hold "No supervisor is available""when are they available" "24-48Hours" "I have to wait 24-48 hours to talk to someone about getting my money back?" "Yes" I am silent. They hang up.Yes in the middle of this I told then that they were robbing me of my own money and that did they seriously think they were providing good service.As soon as my $ clears I am finding a local bank.

They dont support local businesses, came to ask for 140$ change for my next door business and was declined cause I DoNt hAvE aN aCcOunT wITH them, thank for making my day harder, chase is closed, so i was fuked, will always remember not breaking my change citibank
