Sold me a Fake Bags... I ordered a Saint Laurent handbag, the description said authentic with the bag. I received the bag in the Real REal bag, not a YSL bag. I thought it was strange so I asked the company for authenticity papers, especially after looking through the bag for the serial number tag and not finding it. The company never responded to my request. I sent a second request and again was ignored by the company. I filed a BBB complaint requesting a refund and offering to return the bag with the RR tags on it and the company informed the BBB that had provided me the documents I was requesting. They dared to keep repeating that lie to the BBB until they closed my complaint. Now I have to assume the Fendi bag I purchased is fake as well. If you decide to purchase from them just know you may not get what you expect.

Three stars for a clean, well-organized space and easy returns/consignment process. Would give fiver stars to the doorman with cool glasses for being kinder than the staff if I could. Taking two stars off for an inconsistency in customer service; I've had some lovely associates register item by item as I handed them over, and I've had some not-so-friendly ones that watch me place all my items on the table, give me a curt smile, and say "that's all, you're good to go" without even touching them. I like to think that I'm far from a snotty person, but it would be nice if my consignments, no matter how inexpensive they are, were always received with a certain level of respect.

I’ve been coming to Real Real for years and have never seen such bored and disinterested staff. No one took my items to start a change room despite a couple of staff just chatting to each other.Consignment for me is both ecological, finding gems, but also about grabbing a bargain I might not have afforded in the stores. No such hope anymore. I tried on two items I was ready to buy then noticed they were so close to the retail price I might as well go buy them new. I don’t understand this when there are so many negative reviews from sellers that they are not making any money? Someone obviously is!Also hardly any inventory. So little that was interesting. They had Rabanne as streetwear? What. Loads of Channel. Yawn. Only a couple of pieces from innovative designers Junya, Comme, Sacai etc.The whole experience coupled with the terrible service means I am unlikely to return.

How very sad after being a long term customer who has sold hundreds of items with you since 2011 to have been treated so poorly. I'm done. After giving an expensive Chanel bag (among other items) to you, and you received the merchandise Nov 15, 2023, it took over a month for the bag to appear on the site. I asked for a price approval, which was not granted, and the day it went live it was put on hold for almost 2 weeks. That took us up to Dec 24th, which meant I lost the Christmas selling cycle, and I had to call to ask what was going on. A response took days. No plausible explanation was given and when I asked to speak to a manager, the request was denied. I was offered a $25 voucher. Really?? The bag still sits on the site today, and of course you asked to reduce it. I will be requesting my bag to be returned this week and will start doing business elsewhere. As a public company your shareholders and your customers deserve better. It is shameful how you. Please don't respond with some text message option to speak with a customer service person. They are powerless to help, and trained to say no rather than yes. If someone from you senior leadership team would like to connect Would be happy to continue the conversation with them. I will be happy to share my information and my account number with you so you can verify the extent of my loyalty you over the past 13 years.

TheRealReal sold me a fake Louis Vuitton bag and will not issue a refund because they “reauthenticated” it. However, they are more than happy to resell it and take another cut of that as well. I cannot even speak to a customer service agent that can help me. Just promises of a supervisor calling me in 24-48 hours very ambiguously. Horrible customer service experience. Do better.

Consignors beware! The RealReal offers a mindbending experience in incompetence and disorganization. The RealReal is really abusive of consignors. When they are not stealing, losing, and damaging your property, they are wasting your time with false assurances, cancelled appointments--after the scheduled interval, and devastatingly long waits on the phone for a human who has no power to correct the ill winds they have blown over your days. Also, the site credit they are sure to grant you to ameliorate the damage -- it disappears in a week.
