“I recently purchased several U.S. General Heavy-Duty 5-Tier Shelving Units from the Harbor Freight on Deer Park Avenue in North Babylon. The shelving itself is excellent—very sturdy, well-designed, and exactly what I needed.
One of the pieces had a small manufacturing defect, but the experience that followed was even more impressive than the product itself. John D., the store manager, handled the situation immediately and without hesitation. He was professional, accommodating, and resolved the issue with absolutely no hassle. The outcome exceeded my expectations.
I also want to recognize Elvis, the Senior Associate, who was incredibly helpful throughout the process. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely took the time to make sure everything went smoothly.
I’m so glad to have this Harbor Freight location nearby. They consistently have what I need, the staff is outstanding, and the customer service keeps me coming back. Thank you, John D. and Elvis, for making this such a positive experience!”

“My father is a disabled Vietnam Veteran and uses a walker to help him get around. A screw fell out and it was unstable and unsafe for him to use. I took the walker to the hardware store to see if they would be able to help me replace the screw. I was greeted with a happy hello and asked what I needed help with. A lovely employee named Christina took the walker placed it on the counter and installed the screw for me herself for me. I was so grateful that she was able to help us with this situation. We shop here for all our home improvement needs and recommend this store to anyone who wants a friendly…helpful …attentive staff who goes out of their way to make sure you leave with what was needed”

“The guys behind the counter were very helpful. I was dead tired coming from work right before closing. They likely were also tired because as I said it was right before closing, yet they greeted me, asked me if I needed help, and helped me find what I needed. I used a 20% off coupon that I had in my email. I got a pair of truck ramps for the snow storm today so I can transport my snowblower. All in all very positive experience I never used this harbor freight before but out of every store that I have visited this was by far the best. Whoever is the manager, they did a good job because he or she has a good team.”

“Great place has everything from a Ball Cock Valve to a copy of Yentl on vinyl. Was in the other day to buy a pencil and walked out with a Lionel Train set from 1965. The owner Tommy fived the dent on my Camaro by simply denting the other side so the dents matched and looked factory. Caught a shoplifter named "Sticky Fingers" Nicky and Tommy, the owner. gave me a choice of a roll of electrical tape or some bug repellent as a reward. Aces!!”

“This hardware store is great place. It reminds me of the hardware stores that used to be around before Home Depot and Lowes. It's a much bigger than the old stores, but that's because it carries a lot of inventory and has to compete in some sense. What I particularly like is the hardware section. As someone who does a whole lot of repairing and fabrication, I often need certain bolts, screws, fasteners, and they have a great assortment. They are in similar organized self serve pull out draws like you find at the big box stores, but there is a huge difference. They have stock! This stores hardware drawers are filled and they have a variety of stainless, chrome, galvanized, black,etc, that makes it enjoyable to know your project is going to get done how you planned.”

“I am truly grateful for the help Nick gave me. I called in at 4:55 closing time is 5 o’clock. Nick was empathetic towards my situation, I had no heat.
He gathered the parts that I needed to correct my problem . He left them outside the store so I could pick them up and not go through the night without any heat. He also offered me his personal cell phone and encouraged me to call him , and he would walk me through the repair.
