“My got to Post Office.It’s small but there is never a line or long wait. I work in Bay Shore but I make the extra 5 minute drive past the Bay Shore Post Office to head here.Staff is friendly which is not the case typically at any post office/public service establishment.”
“The Old Bethpage location is greatly understaffed but the lady behind the counter does her very best to please all of the customer needs as much as she can. Thumbs up for her dedication.”

“My family and I moved to Bay Shore 4 years ago, we've met a lot of friendly people but the BEST of all was our postman "Craig" he's professional and courteous, always has a charming smile, and most of all handles our package and mail with care. We've had other post people in between and they some times they'll put our mail in someone else mailbox, and I've found other people's mail in our mailbox... But with Craig I got my mail. He occasionally stops and play with my dogs, Craig has a huge heart great personality. You can tell he enjoys his job, Bay Shore Post Office is blessed the have a worker like Craig. Thank you Craig you're the best!”
“Great experience in getting the chance to mail a Package to a loved one. Would use them over and over again. However the Automated system does not recognize certain commands to allow me to speak to someone about prices for mailing a package.”

“I've never had an issue here. Mostly just drop off packages. I appreciate that the dropbox is always working, there are a lot of usps places that have it fill up and get locked, then you have to go on line. I did go on line once or twice for mailing things and the employees were always helpful and courteous.”

“I am not from Islip, but from Queens, NY and was visiting a relative. I lost my receipt but two weeks ago, I was sending a package out to Florida, for my niece's birthday. Postal Clerk Mary attended me, as I walked in. She was engaging, warm and asked all the pertinent questions related to my shipment. She even asked if I needed stamps and I had forgotten, that I DID NEED stamps!I wish every Clerk in the US Post Office was as endearing, proficient and professional as: MARYI'm sorry I lost the receipt but I hope someone on the job or neighbor sees this post and that it brightens MARY'S day, as she did mine.”
“This is AN AMAZING post office and the workers are very kind, dedicated, loyal and faithful. I’ve never had one problem here and they are very kind. The other day they noticed that I had delivered a lot of packages and gave me some free shipping envelopes to assist with our growing business.They truly care about the packages and the persons that they serve. “I would not believe a review that starts with "This is the worst post office in Suffolk County" unless you believe said person visited the well over 100 post offices in Suffolk County. Hardly ever a line, staff is always courteous and friendly. Would not blame them for following federal regulations or a delay that happened on the road probably in another state.”

“I am beyond grateful for the outstanding service I received today. I was trying to send a package and I was struggling with getting the package ready and trying to care for my two little ones. It was becoming impossible. Just when I was about to give up and try a different day the women who were working saw me struggling and helped me right away. There were two women who came around the counter and brought out toys for my little ones , I believe their names were Careen and Jeanette. Jeanette helped entertain my little ones while another women named Hani got my package already to ship. There are no words to describe how incredibly thankful I am for the love that was shown today. They worked together as a team to lend a helping out to me. I will forever be grateful.”
“After a Christmas gift was delayed almost 2 months because of international shipping, Lucinda called me personally and then helped me forward the gift onto the recipient. She was very helpful and kind each time I spoke to her on the phone. It was especially helpful that I no longer live in NY and needed to take care of this from a few time zones away.”
“I can't say enough about Susana at this location who went way above and beyond helping me with a critical situation. An error was made in addressing a package when someone moved and some very important documents were lost. Susana took control of the situation in an expedient, patient, caring and professional manner. It was amazing that in a facility which handles so much mail every day she was able to locate the package and promptly get it to its correct destination. Susana was humble and acted as if she did it every day and just shrugged it off. Meanwhile, on the other end of the phone all I could think of was Superwoman. I hope that this is put in her employee file and at her next review is remembered. I also hope she is considered at the next review for employee of the month. She certainly has my vote. “I love coming here. Mike is the nicest guy working up front. Always kind and welcoming. The scale didn’t work the other day so I left my boxes there for him to scan after things got fixed and he was nice enough to send a receipt to me in the mail. Thank you Mike! I go all the way here instead of Queens, here in Queens they are rude. It’s worth the trip!”
“Super friendly staff, the place was a little busy but that's to be expected this time of year. The lady behind the counter made sure to help me make the right choice in shipping my package, giving me multiple options. The location itself could probably use an update, but given it's a government agency that probably won't happen for another 10 years.”

“There are 5 counter available, at the time 3 counter was open. They moved the line at a good pace. The postal office is a rectangular shape post office.There is free - 10 minutes - street parking available by the post office.”

“My package was accidentally delivered to the wrong house. I called, spoke quickly to a very nice gentleman, Anthony I believe, he looked it up, saw the problem and said he’d tell the delivery person and I’d have my package soon. “I have been using this post office for years both professionally and personally with a personal PO Box as well. I have seen people treat them in the utmost disrespectful ways and they keep calm and collected then turn a smile out for me and are pleasant and helpful. Put out kindness to people and it will be returned. All of these negative reviews are horrible. Years I’ve gone in here and never had a bad experience with the staff. Some of the entitled patrons however, is a different story. They are lovely and efficient. I’ve never been in a post office that works through the process so quickly! Be kind to people!”
