Fruit Valley Veterinary Clinic

Once I called with a question if I should bring one dog in and he called me after hours to talk and go over everything. I'm very happy I made the decision to switch.

Clarion Hotel & Suites Riverfront
70 E 1st St, OswegoIf you are looking to book read this honest review first. Overall we had a great 3 day stay. The hotel has a nice central location to the area and is located on the Oswego river. We checked in with very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Our room was considered an upgrade and was spacious. We had a bedroom with a king sized bed separate from a living room area with kitchenette. There was a pull out couch, 3 chairs, and TV’s in both the bedroom and living room. The kitchenette included a sink, mini fridge, microwave and sink. The views overlooked the river. I found the bathroom to be small and cramped. The shower head was extremely low and at 6’ tall it was about at chin height. Overall the room was excellent for the price which was $405 for 3 nights but shows its age and the floors could have been vacuumed better. The breakfast that was included with our stay had more options to choose from than most hotels including eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruit, cottage cheese and peaches, bagels, donuts, english muffins, muffins, ect. The hotel has a restaurant attached as well which we ate at twice. The service was good and the food was great. We did not have an issue ever finding parking but my sister and brother in law stayed previously and said that they had to park on the street until people left the water park. We did not use the water park so I can’t speak too much on that but we did walk by it and it appears rather small. Overall I would recommend staying here because it’s a very reasonable price, just don’t expect it be more than what it is for the price.

Canales Restaurant in Oswego, NY, serves up some of the absolute best Italian food we have ever had. We love their sauce so much that we have been buying it for years, even having it shipped directly to us down south! Getting to finally eat here in person was an absolute treat.
The entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. The service was wonderful, and the fresh bread and appetizers got the meal off to a perfect start. We always make it a rule to try the calamari at Italian restaurants, and Canales did not disappoint—it was incredibly fresh and delicious.
The pasta, however, was the absolute star of the show. Our table tried four different pastas with four different sauces, and every single one was a home run. The traditional sauce is still outstanding and paired beautifully with the veal parmesan. That being said, the vodka sauce with chicken and rigatoni is a brand-new favorite of ours—it was unbelievable! The Little Riggie and the classic spaghetti and meatballs were also phenomenal.
We will definitely make the effort to come back here the next time we are visiting the North Country. If you are anywhere near Oswego, you absolutely must check out Canales for their amazing family Italian food!
