“We were in search of a last minute snowblower as ours started to see better days. Thanks to John who went above and beyond for us when we had a locked credit card issue while trying purchase online. He secured the last snowblower while were on the phone trying to fix this issue. It was refreshing to have some humanity in customer service, which tends to be almost nonexistent these days. This time it's because I bought something online that the house REALLY needed, but couldn't leave my house because my mother is bed ridden, not well, and for over a week I couldn't find someone appropriate to safely watch her so I could go pick it up. When Ace called me because they wanted to remind me that I had a product waiting, I explained my situation and asked if they could please just hold it a little longer. The next day, my doorbell rang and an Ace employee had their hand outreached to me with the product and a smile. I was and am floored. This is the old timey kind of customer service from my youth and not usually seen anymore. Thank you to whichever employees were involved in that whole resolution. :)”

“Reminds me of the old fashioned hardware stores my father used to take me to on weekends when he'd be doing chores. I needed an obscure nut for a very old bolt on an old house. The guy there couldn't find it among the racks and could've easily said they don't have it, but instead he asked if I had a few minutes to wait and then disappeared into the basement I think. Came back about 10 minutes later with a whole box of them so I could see which one fit the best. They just don't do things like that anymore in this high speed Amazon world. He went the extra distance for me and I'll always give a shout out to excellent service.”
