“Very nice shop. Have never had a problem finding parking in front or down the street. Nyack is nice and quaint. Inside the store there are mainly Christmas ornaments but also a lot for other holidays and events. Store is well maintained and owners always know every single product. Including the type of German artisan and style of each product. For German made products you have to remember the cost to make something so unique and one of a kind, shipping internationally, and the superior attention to detail that is put into each German handcrafted piece. When these items last forever with proper storage and care they are worth the investment alone. There are smokers, nutcrackers, kids toys, ornaments, tree toppers, probably everything you can imagine. I think the best part of the shop is the hospitality of the owners and employees who are always so helpful. Don’t be in a rush as this place has a lot to see and it’s supposed to be fun looking for something new for the Christmas tree every year.”

The last time I visited this location it was packed, but on my most recent venture, the store was pretty calm and quiet. “I came in hoping that I could use some old drapes to upholster two armchairs, which I know is a tall order. Franchesca gladly obliged, I was able to sift through their giant sample wall to find a piping fabric I loved, and they re-stuffed the cushions and pillows that were a bit deflated from years of use. Six weeks later I am so happy with how they turned out. Their work was so well done and detailed in the pattern matching around seams, I really couldn't be more impressed and will definitely be taking other projects that come up to them in the future!”
