“My daughter has been attending TLE White Plains since she was 5 months, she is now 2 years old and she has learned so much along the way. I love the everyday activities that TLE does for our little ones, specially during the summer! They do water play and my daughter just loves it. She has grown so much over the years, she has even learned the ABCs, and all the songs they sing at school, she also learned how to count from 1-10 in english and spanish. I cant wait to see what more she will learn from them. ❤️ The teacher are just so loving and caring, once you come in everyone greets you and your little one, its just the sweetest. “Today my second kid graduated from Building Blocks. Both of my kids started as months old babies and stayed all the way through graduation. The teachers are super caring and throughout all these years it has been basically worry free. They also do a very good job getting the kids ready for school. It's quite emotional to finally say goodbye and I have only good things to say about Building Blocks. Lots of good memories to cherish.”

“We made a switch from a nearby daycare in white plains to Kiddie Academy a few months ago.
It was the right decision, we love it here so much. The teachers Imani and Leah are all like a family and their consistency and long term presence makes it a great place.”

“This is my favorite place in the whole world! I went to camp and school here and my mother worked in the nurses office and my brother was a camp counselor. The drama department is outstanding and I dream about the food to this day. I hope to return again someday and bring my kiddo to the fun!”

“Our daughter started attending Imagymnasium when we first moved to Harrison and she couldn’t speak any English. She began at age two and a half and attended until graduation.

She absolutely loved Imagymnasium. Almost every day, she would ask, “Do I have school today?” and was always excited to go. The teachers were incredibly kind, caring, and supportive, and she was fortunate to make wonderful friends there as well.

Over the years, we watched her grow in so many ways. She is now able to communicate in English and often comes home proudly showing us the math and other skills she has learned at school.

We truly feel lucky to have found Imagymnasium. It has been such a positive and meaningful experience for our family, and we are so grateful to the teachers and staff for everything they have done for our daughter.

“Little Friends, is everything a parents dreams and hopes for in a school for littles. From the second you walk in the incredibly loving and professional front desk fairies [ yes they are fairies to me] work their magic remembering every child and parents name [ like, how? LOL] They make all that walk through the door feel warm and fizzes. Chelsea and Sandra, make sure all notes get to teachers and if your a working momma even assist with getting your kids out or in the car so you make it to work on time- 10 stars just for that! Miss Verna, is incredibly hands on and talented in her own right, she is truly a marvel how she cultivated this amazing place for kids, and parents to enjoy. She has safety, professionalism, clean, fun and wonderful environment for all down to a T. My two girls are [ 1 infant and 1 toddler] excited screaming excited to attend school everyday. Most kids don't get this vibe. Danielle, Chelsea B Skita and paola truly make being a infant teacher look easy, and we know it isn't. They love, protect, and care with such love for each baby like their own. Chelsea B is my littliest teacher and when my girlie is with her she doesn't miss me one bit [ which is such a good thing, i know some people are probably gasping at that thought lol] she is so kind and nurturing to my youngest. Now on to the amazing Toddler teachers for my now 2 year old. Miss Lisa, Emma, Simone and Lizzy- wow how you handle these toddlers is a true Art that i have yet to manage myself... can't thank them enough and my oldest has the most beautiful hair styles from Emma's salon :)

non the less, there may be other daycares out there, but if you want to feel no fear, for having your kids at a school all day please put yourself on the waitlist, yes a waitlist- like seeing Santa or going to the latest movie all good things have a line- WAIT like i did almost 1.5 years but now that we are here, i would never look back. Thank you to each and every teacher, admin and Miss Verna for making dreams come true, and mommy and daddy's minds at ease.”

Prospect Academy is a place that nurtures creativity, community, personal and academic growth, responsibility, and a love of the arts. The added bonus of spending multiple hours outdoors each day was also a significant plus.”

“My siblings and I all attended Sacred Heart starting in the late 70's. There are 5 of us and all turned out relatively successful (software engineer, doctor, teacher, business owner, executive). I credit Sacred Heart with providing us with the stepping stones that encouraged and prepared us for our life journey after the 8th grade.I made the choice to continue the legacy and send my son to Sacred Heart as well. It remains an excellent school which fosters a close-knit community. So far, the teachers and staff have been fantastic. You really start to understand the quality of education at Sacred Heart when you interact with parents and students from other schools. Alongside the educational element, the school does an outstanding job of teaching discipline, moral values, and social skills. It's heartening to see these shine through as my son grows and develops at Sacred Heart. I am not convinced that the excitement and joy he exudes each and every day towards learning would come out by attending any other school.”

“There is no doubt that me and my wife were very nervous in putting our daughter in daycare as it was all very new to us. However, after joining the JCC and getting to know all of the wonderful people, it soon became our saving grace. We knew that when we dropped her off she was safe and in good hands, and that’s all you can ask for as a parent. The facilities are incredibly clean, the classes fun and working out there was always a pleasure. I especially want to thank Danielle Mittleman as she has perpetually been truly kind and caring, and that made all the difference to our family. “Wonderful staff and program! We attended only one year of their summer camp but it was truly wonderful. The staff is warm and welcoming. They made sure got plenty of outside time and set up a really fun and memorable time for the kids. The building is set up like a little school so its really wonderful for kids to get an idea of what it will be like once they move on to kindergarten. The preschool years are so special so you want to make sure your kids go to a place where they are understood and work with where they are while being encouraged to grow. This is one of those places. The staff was beyond understanding when I had an emergency and realized I would not be able to pick up my kid on time. It was such a blessing to have her in a safe place while I handled it. The after-school programming is a wonderful extra touch as well.”

“Our daughter has had an incredible experience at Weekday. The staff is kind and warm, they teach the students to communicate their feelings and work through things rather than shame or punish them. The program prioritizes play and the teachers value Social emotional learning. As a teacher, I can’t describe how hard it was to entrust others with my child because I’ve seen so many poor examples of early childhood education. I am so grateful we found Weekday Nursery! My daughter really loves it there and so do we!”

After considering several child care options, we quickly felt we made the correct choice with how great the infant teachers were. Miss Anastasia and Nancy remained his favorite teachers even as he progressed out of the infant room. Aliya'h and Cookie run the center and are great with communication. We had to relocate our son to a different center due to a move, but we kept him enrolled at a different Children’s Corner location due to the positive experience at Westchester Ave. As good of a total value as you’ll find in the area.”

Each teacher is caring, full of imaginative spirit, and they keep the day running smoothy. I am excited that my 2nd child is signed up to attend in the coming fall!”

“The Baby Cottage has been a godsend for our infant daughter. She was a mere 4 months old when she started, and as new parents, my husband and I were inherently concerned about her development and quality of life overall. Each day we pick her up at Baby Cottage, she has an illuminating smile. The staff is extremely professional, kind, and very much engaged with each child. Everyday we receive a detailed hand-written report-out on her progress, which I have a great deal of respect for personally. As parents, we also value that Baby Cottage has no TVs, as we've heard stories where daycares simply use television as a device to distract/calm the children vs. actually interacting with them. Not to mention, they supply all diapers, formula, and food for the children. You cannot find a better situation than this. I highly recommend The Baby Cottage to any parent whether your child is an infant or toddler.”

The time our boy has been there has not only been so happy - but the atmosphere created in the classroom between the children and the teachers and the other children is quite remarkable.
The way the kids know the kids and teachers from the other groups is lovely.
The way they’ve been taught to play together, to share and to tidy up (!! Even if not so much at home…) seems effortless.

“Great school from my experience! My son loved going to school here from the explorer program all the way to pre-K 4. They have lovely enrichment options like field trips, music and gym. They are welcoming and inclusive to all. The lesson plans are always sent to you as a parent ahead of time and they incorporate family projects into their monthly curriculum. I have been thrilled with them and appreciate that the lunch and snack program is inclusive in the tuition. As a hard working parent, I recognize they are not for profit and run by a board inclusive of parents. These are all benefits to the "everyday" working parent and the reasons why I refer them to my friends. Too often, we are quick to write reviews on negative experiences, myself included. I wanted to take the time to note this positive one for future parents considering applying to this school. Schedule a tour and check them out, you can decide for yourself. I cannot say enough good things, even through the uncertain times of the covid pandemic where everyone was learning to navigate a new path, they communicated upfront and valued parental feedback. Their was notable turnover in staff during that time as with all industries but this has since stabilized. I can honestly say they have always made every effort to accommodate the collective needs of the parents. This speaks volumes as to why my children return year after year.”

“My daughter goes to pre-school here. The nuns love her and treat her like their own. She has been learning a ton and she loves to go to school. I wasn't thrilled with the place initially because they do most of their fund-raising right up front and it set a good tone. I wish they would spread it out throughout the year a little better and pick some better fund-raising partners (other than the holiday show which is wonderful). But I'm glad I kept my daughter here, and I plan to have my younger daughter go here as well.”
