“Service was prompt and professional. Filters and the like are always good recommendations, but you really shouldn't be offering to flush brake fluid without checking the bleeders. So, with that said, they probably vacuum out the reservoir and only replace that, leaving the rest of the system still contaminated. My two cents.”

He looks over your vehicle no matter what it is and shows you the issues / explains how he can resolve the issue in a fair and reasonable price. I trust in Port Jefferson Car Center, George serviced my son vehicle last week, I was anxious, right away reassured that my son’s cross country trip would be in a vehicle inspected and serviced by George, later found out new brakes and tires were needed. So happy with the fast and efficient work done by Georges crew! I am put at ease when I call, always presented with a friendly, “Port Jefferson Car care , this is Jennifer , how may I help you ?” This means to me there is care here, the introduction of his business is always friendly, helpful and happy welcome.”
“As someone who is very picky where I take my car, this place has checked off everything on my list! The staff is very personable, and you can tell that they take every car in their care seriously. They spend time on each car and don’t treat their customers as just money makers. Mike will oftentimes throw a service in for free; Which he has done with me! Mike definitely pays attention to details when it comes to fixing up your car. The pricing is slightly high, but not crazy. However, it is worth every penny since they not only carefully look at and fix the vehicle, but they also thoroughly clean it inside and out! I recommended my family to go to them since I was the first to find them, and now they all get services done at Mike’s. You can tell they care about their customers so much so that they sent me and my family a thank you card in the mail! I definitely and 110% recommend this place, especially since I have been to so many mechanics and know even more people who work on cars. I know a decent amount of people from the car community, and will recommend Mike’s to them.”

“Will is perhaps the most honest, straight-up mechanic I've ever met; and a good brake-guy, too.
I had a stuck brake caliper. He charged me about HALF of what the local MAVIS tires wanted to replace it. He also fixed an AC problem that he could have charged me an arm and a leg for; and asked for only $20. A 'lazy' servo under my dash was keeping the ports shut, except for the ones you use to defrost your windshield. Any other outfit would have charged me a $1,000 to first pull apart the dash.
I have other things needing done with my 17-year-old Chevy Avalanche, and I was really thinking of selling it. But, with guys like Will around, I think I'll keep it. I brought my son home from the hospital in it, and in a couple of years, he says he wants it.
It ain't too pretty but it's the perfect winter-beater; and that 4WD system with 'Granny Gear' and On-Demand AWD saved my life on at least one occasion, pulled a really big boat out of the water at an unimproved ramp in the Middle Keys (when guys pulling smaller boats with their F150s were barely able to get out and slinging a ton of mud in the air in the process), and regularly towed that boat to the Keys and back from Jupiter, FL; at highway speed!
It's a great system and can only be bought on new trucks and SUVs to the tune of $70 large. I think I'll keep it.
Besides, in 2 more years it'll cost $0 to register.

UPDATE: Under new ownership and the new owner (Raul) is clearly capable and willing to do the jobs other, more 'established' shops (read: 'in' the mob) are unwilling to do. Thanks for getting my truck back on the road, Raul. You'll be getting my business for the 3 vehicles my company owns.”

“So I recently bought a lightly used Mercedes, shortly after, some very loud and concerning sounds from under the car and from my wheel came about. Long story short I brought the car to several places as well as a “street mechanic” or 2 and also the Benz dealership. All said they heard the sound well but had no idea what it was and could not find the issue. I brought it in to calleja for my last stitch effort, desperate to find the issue. Tony and his crew knowing that I was a car guy and had some past experiences working as a mechanic invited me into the shop briefly to show and explain what they did and found. Very friendly and informative. Turns out it was a simple embarrassing issue that I was mad at myself for not finding and even more mad at all the shops that didn’t find the problem. A bad broken clip on my new brake pad. Charged me a reasonable price for labor and time and sent me on my way making sure all my very sensitive parts and bolts on my car were tightened to spec. I especially love how tony himself got in the car with me and went for a very specific test drive to diagnose the sound best we could. All around a great and honest crew. Definitely recommend there service”

“Excellent!!! Went here for a set of 4 new tires for my wife’s car and the store manager Joe was friendly , knowledgeable and explained everything. Joe recommended the Goodyear comfort tires and the car now rides smooth and my wife loves the ride. Joe never tried to sell me anything I didn’t need like so many places try and get you to spend more than you need. The staff were friendly and location is great.
