“Been an IFCU member for my entire life- recently had a scary and unfortunate scenario happen following a scam call. Both John's and the managers immediately took control of the situation and protected my account (and sanity) within seconds. They also sat me down and connected me right away with the fraud department and told me exactly what steps to take following the event. The situation was anxiety provoking but their calmness and quick action was extremely appreciated.A special shout out to John M, who took his time to give me advice on scam calls & how to always protect my account with scam calls being on the rise. He also gave great banking knowledge and advice in general that I actually had not known prior. John M even double checked everything with multiple IFCU members and departments for me before I left because he truly cared and wanted to ensure my issue was properly taken care of.I look forward to my issue being officially resolved but I am very grateful for the staff members who were working that day for handling my situation the way they did!”

What happened to me was embarrassing, confidence shattering, and put my trust in my own decision making ability in question. Sharing my story with Michael was a great help to my overall disposition. He listened, and never judged me in any way. I felt my anxiety decrease. Michael helped me by setting my sights on the present and making necessary changes to my Flushing and other accounts. He provided me with great suggestions. Some of the suggestion included: filing a police report, file a claim with the company in question's Fraud Department, change all passwords, pay bills with credit cards, remove auto pay, lower my balances in my accounts and open a secure CD account. All of these suggestions were explained in detail and I followed much of his advice. In closing, Michael Genova gave me exemplary customer care. He is highly professional and I recommend Flushing Bank to anyone who wants individual personal care.”

“The bank attends their clients well but there was an incident that left me and my brother unsatisfied.... What occurred was that one day I went with my brother to the bank since he doesn't speak English, next to us was a women who was about 80 years old listening to my brother and I speaking, she made a racist comment stating that "Here in America you don't speak Spanish and Trump would deport everyone to Mexico". I know that the bank doesn't have fault in this but I would like for the bank to make it aware to it the public that everyone deserves respect and should be treated equally despite your race or language. It was very shocking to hear such hate and I told the bank employee about this event.”
