Red Wing better compensate employees like him because I was ready to give up on Red Wing Boots entirely and switch to Ariat or another brand until he helped me figure out my dilemma and reminded me why I choose Red Wing to begin with. “Staff was very friendly and helpful. Got fitted, Bought boots that I’ve had before but with the Boa strap because they were cheaper than the ones with laces. Unfortunately they ended up wearing in more than my previous and my foot moves a little more than I’d like and the expensive inserts I bought started to peel up on the heel and now they are useless and uncomfortable, will probably never spend money on them again. So not completely happy with my experience this purchase but I can’t do anything about it because it was passed a month and they do not except returns on inserts. A lot of money to be wasted at my expense. Seem to always have problems finding comfortable footwear, especially ones I wear 10-14hrs a day.”
“So I just got in my car from famous footwear in the Mastic/ Shirley area. I am writing this post for 2 reasons. I want to let the district manager.No, the boy that works there named Carl was extremely sweet and kind. He was very warm and welcoming. He helped me with any questions. And he helped me with any shoes in every way possible. He was looking stuff up online for me. He made me feel very, very good, but then he went to his manager. I'm assuming she's the manager. She was the only person in the store. Other than him. And she was so cold. She barely wanted to say a word. She didn't want to hear anything. Basically, she didn't want it answer any of my questions. And as I was checking out, she came over to stand behind him, I guess and be a hawk following me around the store also that when I was trying to get her attention, when he was checking me out to let her know that he was a great employee, she barely acknowledged me and I said excuse me, do you hear me? I'm letting you know that your employee is a very nice employee and he's very kind and she's like, oh yeah, okay.... i'm sorry, but what the hell is that?! If I was I wouldn't even want to work there because it's so uncomfortable. She's so stone-faced that. I didn't even want to ask her a question. She looks like she's so miserable that you don't even want to talk to her. That kid would be better off a manager or something. Then she because she will make a customer, never wanna return. So I will call a number just in case she sees this instead of a district manager or a corporate person. And doesn't say a word. All I know is if it wasn't for the guy working, whose name is Karl, then I would have walked out of that store because of her so you can thank Carl for me buying 2 pairs of shoes tonight. It's unbelievable People don't see this and the managers, because the managers think they're hot shit and better than everybody because they have a title of an assistant manager or a manager, but they don't realize that they're pushing business away instead of bringing it in!!!
Thank You Carl for making my night a little bit better than it was with my sister just passing away and everything the last thing I needed was the miserable lady, whatever she is a manager or not but this REAL EMPLOYEE CARL, DESERVES RECOGNITION FOR BEING A NICE HARD WORKING PERSON WHO HAS A GREAT PERSONALITY AND A HEART.”
