“So, my barber tells me the best grocery store in our area is ShopRite. I tell him I’m not a fan of Acme and Uncle Giuseppe’s doesn’t always offer the best value on their items. My barber agrees by saying, “that’s right” in his unmistakable old world Italian accent. On his suggestion I visited ShopRite and discovered that he isn’t wrong. The prices, the specials, and the quality of the merchandise were on point. Next time I see my barber I thank him for helping me save money, and he says, “that’s right!””

“This market always has a seasonal display of flowers, plants, pumpkins, and more to greet you. Once inside, there is a large area for fresh vegetables and fruit. They offer an excellent selection. As you head towards the back of the store, there is a gluten-free section of dry goods and a well stocked seafood and meat case that runs the length of the store. In addition, there are several free-standing freezer cases with quality frozen products. The grocery aisles are filled with a good variety of items. They have a small pre-made case, good deli and bakery counters, too. The staff is pleasant, making your checkout easy, and the store is clean.”

“Word on the street is that this bodega has the best bacon-egg-and-cheese sandwich so I had to try it. I think there's is stupendous! Their bacon is extra crispy, rolls super fresh, and they substituted the American cheese with cheddar cheese at my request! Such sweet staff, too. Totally coming back.5 stars!!!!”

“I’ve tried many delis in Peekskill and this is the best one downtown. Portions are good for the price and the staff are all very friendly. There’s also a wide selection of drinks and snacks if you want to stop by for something really quickly.The one thing I’d point out is that they don’t get enough business to have someone always manning the deli counter. This means it’s a little unclear how to order, and you need to just stand around awkwardly until someone takes your order.”

While from the exterior it looks like a typical small store with last minute staple items, this one has an amazing butcher! if your grilling, one of my favorite marinaded meats can be found here. “Their rare roast beef, alone, is worth the trip. Made in house and almost always super rare. Incredibly tasty and thinly sliced, it's like a little slice of meat heaven. The olive selection is outstanding. Mix and match your favorites. The place isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. Service is always friendly. This place gets very busy around lunchtime during the week. Budget some wait time if you go during a high traffic period.”

“They have never let me down even during the height of the pandemic. I would go to Stop & Shop, ShopRite, Acme and they would not have meat. if they did you were only able to purchase one packet of one type of meat or another. The same with paper towels. I understood. People were hoarding items. There was a point where I panicked a bit because i wasn't hoarding. My husband suggested this store. We managed to shop during the pandemic comfortably. I continue to shop here for all my meat, poultry and fish.”

“Like the store and the hours. Always jumping in and picking up odds and ends during the week. I see some people complaining about the employees but like anything else sometimes teenagers can be a little bit stand offish. That's not unique to just them. Otherwise all the other employees are good.”
