“I’ve stayed with friends in “The Lodge” and most recently in “The Hideout”. Wonderful place. It is so peaceful. You could spend your stay relaxing at your tiny home and enjoying the amenities on site. There’s a pool, a tiny gym, a gorgeous waterfall as well as a 24/7 pantry with items you may have forgotten to bring with you or maybe just for a midnight snack. There are plenty of great hiking spots nearby as well as small towns with lots of character and shops. We’ll be back again soon!”

“Very well organized and friendly people. 2 parking lots. One for cars and the other for Buses. Their Traffic directors made it very easy finding out where to go.”

“I recently stopped there for a couple of days to surprise my children and grandchildren who have been staying there for a week. I took my own children many, many times years ago when they were young the same time each year. It's a family-owned business that's been there for 40 to 50 years. There are activities for the for the kids to keep busy. I find it very wonderful for young families. They offer three meals a day, which is included in your stay. You can eat, get up, and be on your way. The rooms are simple. It's almost like a dirty dancing type atmosphere, simple low key on a beautiful piece of property.”

“A true getaway from the city!

My partner and I loved our stay here. The cabins are nestled between gorgeous pines & have all your basic needs covered.

The cabin was the perfect size for the two of us. We initially booked two nights, and stayed an extra night to enjoy the quiet woods, fireside eating, and the nearby hiking.

There are so many trails just a short drive away. It felt nice to come back to our cozy cabin and have a hot shower after spending the day outdoors.

Definitely recommend bringing an iron skillet or anything else you need to cook by fire.

Wonderful experience. We look forward to returning.

Nearby activities: Near Katerskill Falls, North-South Lake, and many other hiking trails. Windham Mountain, Mine Kill, & Elm Ridge are a beautiful scenic drive away.

Food & drinks: Expect your basic needs covered and a nice grocery nearby to stock up on extras.

The cabin included 2 1L boxes of water, salt & pepper, olive oil in packets, sugar/sweeteners, packs of teas & coffee, and a s’more’s kit.

We brought our own seasonings & ingredients for breakfast + snacks as well as more water + beverage options.

Also, there are lovely restaurants nearby to try like Julia’s Local & the Yellow Deli.”

“We has a wonderful family reunion (Connery) The staff in the dining were fabulous taking care of all our needs from infant to grandmas. The bowling alley was a huge hit and I loved the golf course (hike and golf all in one). We would love to come back again.

“I’ve been coming to baumanns for basically my entire life. Words cannot describe the memories this place has given me. If you’re looking for a fun time this is definitely it. The catskills are breath taking and baumanns provides so many activity to do each day! Can’t forget about the three delicious meals that baumanns also provides, and that’s not including the late night snacks! Wether your swimming in the large pool, fishing in the gorgeous pond, or participating in a cornhole or ping pong tournament your never bored. Every year I feel that I grow closer to my family here and I love meeting new family’s that also go to baumanns. The staff is more than kind and Rosemary and her family put in so much effort, it doesn’t go unnoticed. I love this place so much I wrote my college essay on it! Anyways go to baumanns you will not regret! ”

“My husband and I had our wedding at the WHL, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. Not only was the venue coordinator (shout out Mallory!!) an absolute dream to work with, they helped to ensure that the day was truly perfect from start to end. Our guests could not stop raving about how beautiful and incredibly special the venue was. Could not recommend WHL highly enough for a weekend getaway, a relaxing retreat, or as a wedding venue. 20/10 experience- thank you WHL!!”

“We enjoyed our stay at the Catskill Motor Court and would be happy to stay here again. We enjoyed seeing happy children playing together on the very nice playground. We slept well in our comfortable and quiet room. This place is an older building that has been refurbished, and our room was very clean. We had plenty of room - our room contained 2 double beds, a couch and table, a dresser and a tv, and there was still plenty of room to move around. We look forward to seeing our kind and helpful host again when we return!”

“Keep your eye on this gem. Under new management with a vision and a deep respect for the past.Upon arrival, I felt welcomed. Rebecca and Jen truly shine in this establishment. The food was phenomenal; delicious, generous, with an appealing menu.I spent the day in nearby Kaaterskill Falls followed by relaxing on this beautiful porch.My evening encompassed excellent live music, dancing, and laughs.Personally, I am looking for a venue for a family reunion . I will be bringing The Bavarian Manor Hotel back for strong consideration by my family.”

“This place is a 10 out of 5. I arrived close to midnight seeking a simple cheap bed on a long trip. Unsolicited, the staff offered me a room upgrade for free at check in because they had something better available. Bed was super comfy. Room was updated and clean. Pillows were fluffed. I noticed there was coffee and tea in the lobby (there is also a coffee maker in the room and fridge). When I went to get some hot water for tea, the staff redirected me to the adjacent breakfast room where the water was hotter. I noticed they are serving breakfast on sturdy compostable paper plates rather than environmentally hazardous Styrofoam or plastic I see consistently at comparable hotels. The staff could not have been friendlier or more welcoming to this exhausted traveller. And they are dog friendly! I haven't seen the pool yet, but can verify its there and looks to be a decent size. This is going to be my go to stop in the Albany area.”
