“I often write reviews for places I visit, but this one feels deeply personal — because what happened here went far beyond a regular store experience.
We were visiting from Toronto when our car suddenly broke down in the middle of the night. Not knowing what to do, we pulled into this dollar store’s parking lot just to figure things out. What we didn’t expect was the kindness and humanity we received from the staff.
Despite it being so late, the staff came outside and did everything they could to help us. They didn’t treat us like strangers — they treated us with real care, like human beings in need. They allowed us to safely leave the car in the parking lot overnight and even throughout the next day, as it took us over 24 hours to get everything sorted.
During that time, the store became our little support system. It had everything we needed — food, essentials, even small comforts while we waited. But what truly stood out was the staff, especially Marissa and Sally. These two women are not just professional — they are genuinely good people. The kind you rarely meet. They never made us feel like a burden, only extended compassion and support in every way they could.
I honestly can’t thank them enough. This wasn’t just about good customer service — it was about humanity. They helped us when we were stuck and vulnerable, and I will never forget that. I only wish I could do more for them in return.

“This store is always clean and tidy. There's a wide variety of foods, especially produce and meats. The prices are great as well. The employees are helpful and very nice. This is one of the better Save-A-Lots in the surrounding counties. I would continue to shop here!”
“This general store, souvenir shop, and little breakfast grill is a must stop when visiting the area. Their breakfast sandwiches are the best in the business. They are also really good at potatoes. Perfect stop for the morning after you're hung over from a great lake trip. The service is always friendly, and the chefs always do a great job. Ambience inside is very fun, with a lot of local flair. They also have some great clothing finds for reasonable prices.”
“This place is amazing. Great customer service!!! Carly in the sub area was awesome. She has great customer service. The subs were so tasty and filling. Bread is melt in your mouth, not to mention the everything bread is better than Dibellas. I normally can eat a large sub in one sitting, this one I could not! We will be coming back. My husband also enjoy his sub very much. We love the sub rolls.”

The people are super friendly, and they have lots of snacks, subs, ice cream and hot pizza, all of which is really good. You can also fuel up while there.
