“Been going to this gym for about 6 months now. I was referred by a friend who has been a member for many years. There’s not one bad thing to say. The front staff is very nice and pleasant to walk into to, even at 5am. The gym is always clean and somome is always wiping down the machines. I haven’t had much sessions with the trainers, but the 10 sessions I did do with them were great. And the price was reasonable also. They do a great job at the gym. Just wanted to say thank you for a pleasant experience. See you guys in a little bit.”

“Mike is the best trainer you can ask for. His fitness knowledge and patience for his clients is truly special. I have been training with Mike for 6 months now. “Needing a change, a few of my girlfriends and I signed up to do the six week challenge at Demarco's Boxing Gym. I've tried dozens of different types of diets and workouts to try to jumpstart my weight loss and NOTHING has worked for me until this challenge. I wound up going down two dress sizes in the matter of the six weeks and cannot wait until the next challenge begins to continue! The workouts were intense in the best way and I never left there NOT dripping sweat! The support my friends and I received from the trainers, as well as the other challenge members made it a place we look forward to going! Courtney went above and beyond to make sure we had access to her always with questions, concerns or whatever it was we needed from her! Courtney, Nicky, George and Nick ALWAYS pushed us further than we believed we could for ourselves and motivated us from the second we walked in until the very end of each and every class. The group of challenge members became like a small family and I'm not sure there's a single one of us who opted not to sign up to challenge ourselves at Demarcos again! The challenge, the approach and the people involved changed my mentality and viewpoint about fitness, and the nutrition (even though I struggle sometimes) as well as my own limitations. “Coach TJ has had a huge impact on my daughter's game. Not only has he helped my daughter improve her basketball skill, but TJ has also helped tremendously with the mental aspects of the game. Though my daughter has a high basketball IQ and is a skilled player, TJ has done a tremendous job of helping her scale those mental roadblocks that she imposes upon herself.The connection that he has made with my daughter is incredible and because of his approach with her, he has gained her trust and she is developing into the basketball player that I always knew she could be. “I am a new member. Wonderful place, very inspiring/motivating. The coaches are all very cool. The people and community are fantastic. I am a Beginner crossfit person, but everyone makes you feel welcome and always happy to see you. Everybody cheers you on with whatever goals & progress you achieve, big or small. Alot of the members go 4-5 times a week, because they love it so much. The facility is awesome, very bright, and the VIBE makes you want to work out and do your best! “Five stars isn’t enough for Coach Phil and ND Fitness.I’m a 38 year old male, working with Coach Phil for 8 months now and went from extremely out of shape to the best shape of my life. His decades of experience as a bodybuilder and trainer are second to none. He is able to identify your muscle imbalances and weaknesses with ease and pair them with the appropriate training curriculum. Working with Coach Phil has not just made me stronger, but corrected my posture, all but healed a years long knee injury, helped with my blood flow, I’ve lost 40 lbs. and look 10 years younger than when I started.The gym itself is not a big box, but has everything you need. The equipment is clean and in great shape, clearly cared for meticulously. The environment is friendly and communal. “I am a crossfit coach in Maryland and was visiting from out of town. I dropped into Freshkills. I recommend this gym without reservation. I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness and layout of the gym. It was not a huge space but a space utilized well. There was plenty of room for the workout without being hindered by others or equipment. The coach gave excellent direction for setting up equipment, which was real nice. The equipment was in great shape with some quality barbells. All around the coach was great. For WOD briefing, he gave excellent strategy suggestions and scaled options. The coach structured the warm up and kept everyone on task and prepped us for the wod. The members were friendly and encouraging. It is clear they care about moving well, having fun, and getting good work in. Freshkills will certainly be my drop in gym when visiting from out of town.”

“Oh, 100% this gym is the gym you go to when you know what you're doing it you need the motivation to know what you're doing! It's the best of the best I've been to on Staten Island in terms of great machines and ambiance. The energy of the people that work there is worth coming back to - plus the energy helps you keep moving. I've been going to Intoxx throughout the years and it's definitely that one gym that always gets better. 10/10, oh the manager Bruce is the best. Also, make sure you get the Hawaiian Harvest smoothie, it's the best ENJOY”

“I came to SI to visit from NE. I’m an avid gym goer and a powerlifter so I need a gym with great free weight equipment, specialty bars, squat racks, and benches. This gym has it all! The atmosphere is extremely anabolic! The people within are absolutely friendly, ranging from the staff to the members who go on a consistent basis! I felt like I was truly apart of a family coming here on a week pass. If I lived in NY, this would 100% be my gym of choice!”

“Great gym. It has almost all the equipment you might need. Maybe just a few suggestions, it's missing a rowing machine that would be very useful. Also, the group classroom has a cracked mirror that wasn't fixed in the past year. And more yoga classes on weekends would be very helpful for people who work on weekdays. Anything else you might need, they have.”

“I have been training at Push Fitness for two years now and it is the best gym on the island. The gym is always clean, equipment is new, not crowded and the managers are always willing to help with workout questions. I recently started personal training with one of the managers and he was nice enough to give me extra sessions given I have been coming for two years. Highly recommend if you are considering signing up.”
