“At first, since it was my first time, it was a bit difficult to make an appointment because they don’t answer the phone. Everything is done online, and the app doesn’t work very well.
But once you’re there, everything is simple and quick.
The location is excellent (it’s right next to my house). It’s easy to park, and there’s good access to public transportation.
The only thing I would improve is the cleanliness and the condition of the laboratory.
The girl who assisted me was very kind and professional.
I definitely recommend it 100%.

“I was seen on time. The waiting room was not overcrowded & the staff was very professional. But I would not recommend Quest because their sign in kiosk always has problems. They should have a staff member there to assist (but never do, you have to try to catch someone when they come to call the next patient). Quest should get better equipment - it always seems to not work properly (when you sit there, you watch every single person after you have trouble with the kiosk). I know what to do but yet the way the machine operates is not intuitive - I am always confused and even when I do everything right, the machine malfunctions. I would never send my older relatives here”
“The Quest Diagnostics on 78 Todt Hill Rd in Staten Island, NY is my favorite lab to get blood tests. It is clean and well maintained. The check-in process is very easy. I made an appointment on line and put in all my health insurance information in advance. When I arrived, I had received a text that I was advised to click on to "check-in". As soon as I did that, the lab technician came to get me. I didn't even have to wait a single minute to be taken. I also want to give a special thanks to the lab technician herself. I've been told that I don't have very 'good veins' for drawing blood and this was a fasting test, which can make drawing blood even more challenging. I shared this with her. In spite of all of this, she got the needle in on her first attempt and didn't cause me any discomfort. I sometimes get black and blue at the site of the blood draw, but she was so good that today, I can barely see the spot where the needle went in. One of the best lab technicians I've had!
This Quest Diagnostic location knows how to hire and train the right people and maintains a very appealing location to visit.”

“Usually I'm a big baby when it comes to getting lab/blood work done, but this is the first location that I visited that I didn't feel like I was waiting in the chair for 10 minutes with a rubber band around my arm while they went through paperwork (like other labs have in the past). The moment I sat down in the chair, within one minute the whole thing was already done. Unfortunately I didn't get the womans name who did my lab work for me, but she was so gentle and saw I was getting nervous and walked me through it. I highly recommend this location! Thanks for not making fun of my crying too haha”
“Jasemine greeted me with a pleasant smile. She reviewed my coverage and medical scripts. Jasemine advised me of tests that may not be covered under my insurance and I agreed to pay. Jasemine was very professional and courteous. After drawing sample I asked for a urine sample container. She went out of her way to get the container and place it in a bag. My visit was very fast. “I went this morning. I was the only patient there at that time. The technician handled my paperwork in a short period of time. The outer office was clean snd neat. Chairs were turned around so that you did not have to sit next each other. I went right into the room to have my blood drawn. The technician came in. She alleviated my fears. She drew my blood quickly and painlessly. I thanked her and left. It ended up being a positive experience. I was in and put in less then 15 minutes.”

“So, I went into LabCorp at 4434 Amboy Rd, 2nd Floor, Staten Island today for some routine blood work—fully expecting a headache after reading a bunch of bad reviews. People were complaining about long waits, dismissive staff, bruises from needles… basically everything you hope to avoid when going in for a simple test .
But, wow—I can’t believe how smoothly it went instead. From the moment I walked in, everyone was polite and on point. The check-in process was quick (no kiosk confusion or awkward delays), and right after that, I got called for the draw. The phlebotomist was patient and found my vein on the first try—zero bruises courtesy of her steady hand and friendly reassurance .
Honestly, the whole visit was easy and painless. No drama, no rude behavior—just professional and caring service. It makes me wonder if maybe the lab has had some staffing or scheduling hiccups that led to earlier complaints, but I can only speak for today—and today was great.
So if you're reading negative reviews and hesitating, don’t let that stop you. Today’s experience was solid, and I’m feeling confident recommending this place—in my case, it was the total opposite of what the reviews had me bracing for.”
“I had to get some blood work done which can be difficult at times since my veins are small and have a tendency to roll making it difficult to draw blood. Anyway the technician who did my bloodwork was very good. I explained the issue with my having blood drawn she listened and after two attempts she was able to draw the blood just fine. The wait wasn't long and the all the staff was nice and pleasant.”
