“I took my dog here to get a dental cleaning/tooth extractions because he had bad plaque in his teeth. Due to his age of 12 years, I was very nervous about having this procedure done but the doctors and staff here did a wonderful job with him. They really care about the animals and they are very reasonable. I will be bringing all of my animals here moving forward”
“We’ve taken all 5 pets here, over the past 20 years. We like Dr. Fred and his staff very much. We had a very scary situation with our first dog. She was attacked by another dog and nearly died. Dr. Fred was able to save her life. We are so grateful for his expertise, kindness and love for his patients.”
“Dr Astarbi was my vet for over 10 years. I had four dogs at one time and he took care of all of them. Of the 4 , two were put to sleep comfortably in my house surrounded by those who loved them. He is very professional, always gave me a call back and a lot of advice over the phone. I had one dog with Addisons disease. He took care of Bella until she passed away at a ripe old age of 15, usually adisonian dogs don’t live that long. She didn’t have many episodes but when she did Dr Astarbi helped her get back on track. I miss my girl Bella and my boy Giacomo so much. I moved to Florida and he sent me my dogs records. I miss him and Steve. I cannot find and caring vets here, what a shame. Dr Asarbi is very down to earth ,funny, personable and honest and always gave me good advice. I would get my dogs teeth cleaned every year with dr astarbi. Not one problem at all. I wish I could find someone here on the same caliber but I cannot. Dr Astarbi is highly recommended, you won’t regret having him as your long term vet. I hope you are going well, trinket and pia say hello!”

“This location has by far been the best experience I’ve had at a Banfield (I’ve visited a few). It was our first time here and it was for an injury. It was a last minute appointment, however, as soon as we walked in the staff saw how stressed/anxious my dog was and immediately attended us. They took us in right away and were very helpful. Every person we encountered was polite and gave me as much information as they could. I was very nervous for my dog but they made the experience a good one. They took great care of my boy. This location is a bit of a drive from my usual but the trip/toll was worth it and I will be returning.”

Here at my home site in Staten Island, there are always employees ready to assist you with any question you may have. They followup beautifully and want to resolve all your concerns pertaining to your cherished pet. I won't go anywhere else. When I go to New Jersey for visits, I also go to Banfield in Robbinsville. They are just as wonderful. I highly recommend them for your pet insurance, and anything else you need. I truly depend on them. Thank goodness for Banfield.”

“I can't say enough great things about the staff at Hylan Animal Hospital & Dr. Dembitsky! From the moment we walked in, they made us feel like family. Our Weimaraner had to have a benign tumor removed, and we were incredibly scared. However, the entire team made the process so seamless and safe, putting our minds at ease. Their exceptional care and compassion were evident in every step of the way. We truly believe we changed veterinarians at the perfect time.
Before finding this wonderful practice, we had gone to several “upscale/bespoke” vet groups, including ones in UES, Brooklyn & other parts of Staten Island, who always seemed to put their financial interests ahead of our dog's well-being. This is the first place (in 10 years) where we truly feel like we found a place that their priority is taking care of animals for the better good, and we just wish we transferred our care sooner. Their consistent support and top-notch care have been invaluable. If you're looking for a vet who genuinely cares, doesn’t scare , look no further. Highly recommend!”
