“Although I m trying to wean myself away from buying books, since I recently acquired a library card, when I do buy one, it is always through Transom. I am a strong believer in supporting local businesses and this particular business is owned and staffed by thoughtful, helpful, knowledgable people. I love that I have an electronic connection with them; I always pay when I order and just wait for their email message.Go Transom!!”

“Delightful bookstore under the new ownership! The owner and her daughter were so friendly and welcoming, happy to chat away about great books, their cute backpacks and stationary and seeds! It’s a lovely store with a great ambiance. I’m so happy to have another lovely bookstore in Larchmont.”

“Went in for a quick Starbucks coffee but ended lingering to look at all the books games magazines B&N offers. Astounding number of choices. Staff helpful with my questions. The Starbucks is standard & dependable with cheerful baristas & plenty of tables.”

“An amazingly cute store, with a great section for kids and a unique aesthetic that is friendly to enter. Within the kids section there are rabbits; which work perfectly as a mascot for the place and a reason to stop by on its own.”

“Bronx River Books is a great independent store. Going there is always a pleasant experience. The owners are welcoming and add the personal touch that only indie bookstores have. You will almost always find what you are looking for; if you don't, there is no need to worry. They happily order it for you. Highly recommend this store.”

“While I've never been there, I've only interacted with the store via their website and email, I have to say it is one of the best bookstores I've encountered. They are so friendly and helpful and were able to ship my daughter a book signed and personalized by the author. Thanks for a great experience.”

“Such an adorable bookshop full of used books across fiction, non-fiction, health, plays, and more. Even has an assortment of jewelry (I got a watermelon hair clip and a book), fun home decor items and more. Has a very calming, quaint, new agey vibe about it with a bean bag chair to stay a while and read. The owner’s mom was working the register while her son was away and gave great info on the books and the background of the store, which has been in business for almost two years. Will totally come back and buy some more.5 stars!!!”

“One of the few B & N Kitchen locations. Located inside Barnes & Noble with an outdoor area for the warmer months. Starbucks Cafe attached to the book store and the restaurant, serving coffees, teas and treats. Restaurant menu is on the limited side, but some quality options. They don't do the avocado toast since covid.... wish upon a star that they would bring it back. Alcohol selection is decent.... yes.... they serve alcohol.... at a book store. Good parking, which is free.”

“What a wonderful little bookstore / addition to the black cow coffee shop. One stop shopping, if you will. This shop has a really nice selection of books from the most popular, to children's books and beyond. I was not here to necessarily shop for books (this day) but will keep them in mind when I'm in the area again. Great addition to this small town!”

“Have always loved University Bookstores as a whole and this one was of no exception. It was always very cool and inviting and they usually had the best deals on books, especially if you rented them. They also had very good hours too! #paceu #paceuniversity #pace #bookstore #textbooks”

“Every book that I think — oh, I should buy that for my child/partner/neighbor/friend — I see it the next time I’m at Picture Book. Expertly curated, ever-changing, always relevant and unexpected. A great local bookshop.”

“I needed birthday gifts for two young girls and had no idea of what to get for them. I found the Toy Box online and drove up this morning. The woman in the store (sorry, but I never got your name) was extremely helpful and friendly. I was able to get gifts for both and I feel confident that the girls will enjoy them. This will now be my go-to store whenever I need to purchase toys.”

“PROS: This Barnes n Noble is located conveniently inside of the mall in its own little section. It was a Starbucks inside, and two entrances if I'm not mistaken. For your kids their is a kid section and for all you music lovers they have an area exclusively for CDs and records. CONS: Compared to other Barns & Nobles this one is way smaller with less inventory. The worst part is that it's understaffed and I can never get someone at the customer service counter OVERALL: If you just so happen to be in the mall then go to this one, but I would prefer a stand alone Barnes N Noble any day”

“Ordered my husband some books that had got returned due to nudity and also what the jail considered gang related. The mail room at the jail gave me a hard time. First I called Special Needs and they sent my husband proof of delivery to go along with his grievance and that is when we found out it was returned, i called a couple weeks later and the representative Darin who handles the online orders was great. He was able to find the order and credit my account so I can order immediately. Thank you for assisting me.”

“NOT CLOSED! The business leases space from the Chase Bank! Entrance is on Dekalb Avenue. They take online reservations to shop the partially-underground warehouse in person, as well as maintaining a website which they customize so that they can host online book fair fundraisers for local schools. main-street-books.square.site”
