“Loved this Stop & Shop. Great selection, very clean and well organised, and an enjoyable place to shop. Coming from the EU, the huge package sizes and overall scale of an American supermarket are always fascinating to see. Definitely worth checking out if you’re visiting from Europe.”

“This spot is a GEM of Westchester County. From around 9:30AM-1:00PM (approximately, some days run out faster than others) they offer fresh bento and onigiris in their prepared food fridge section.

Bentos include cooked salmon, mackerel, Japanese-style chili chicken, fried pollack, and sometimes more or less depending on what's available, they range from about $9.50-$14 (a STEAL for a nice big lunch in WC). They also have refrigerated beef bowls, eel bowls, and sometimes other bowls. They also have a small selection of prepared sushi, sashimi, and sushi bowls.

Onigiris vary depending on what's available, but typically they'll have tuna-mayo, spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, eel, kelp, spicy cod roe, and more (sometimes less depending on the day).

Did I mention their store is absolutely pristine? Easy to find everything? Well stocked drink fridge with Japanese sodas/energy drinks/health elixirs? The ladies that run the store and cashier are incredibly kind too!

Limited free parking for the shop, but plenty of White Plains paid parking and some street parking on Mamaroneck (I know ughhh) nearby and yes I see attendants there every so often so watch out y'all.

AND they have a rewards program (ANALOG, THANK GOD) where you get a little pink card and get a stamp for every $10 you spend, once you get 100 stamps you get $20 OFF your purchase. Definitely a rite of passage to complete one of the cards, but it'll be easy to do once you get hooked.

Literally cannot say enough about this spot, check my reviews-- this is probably the longest!”

“I have to put a review. I was looking for a place for a turkey last minute I called this place. Spoke with Tanji and she fit me in the last minute. I ordered a whole coked turkey for today to pick it up. She was so professional and kind. Spoke with her few times back and forth about ingredients due to allergies. Picked the turkey and I can say that it was the best turkey I ever had and all the guests were so happy. I will never cooked another turkey because there is no way I can cook like them. Thank You all to you and the best chef!”

“The crew and the managers here are stellar. A couple weeks ago I did not have enough money on my card to finish my transaction. I was more than embarrassed and the store manager, Bryan, came over to help out. The cashier discreetly let him know the situation and Bryan smiled and said “no problem at all, we can help.” He typed something into the computer and the receipt printed out. He grabbed it, handed it to me, and told
me to have a great day. I was stunned. I couldn’t believe they would do that for me. I am forever grateful that no only did Bryan not make me feel more ashamed for not having enough money; but made sure that I was able to leave with all my groceries and asked for nothing in return. I am forever grateful and will ALWAYS shop at this Trader Joe’s!”

“my wife been going there for a while and it seems to get better and better service prices. A place is clean, super clean. You need help. They're right there. They're always stocking up. That's the good part about it. So you know ain't nothing sitting that long. A lot of items. The meats are cut nice and fresh and I would really recommend this and the price is unbelievable. I mean ShopRite for what I got. I would have spent about $170 and then I have to go to BJ's or Costco's and I will spend another $70 so it's way over $200 and change everything that I paid $157 and change. It's unbelievable. Unbelievable. I thought it was a mistake. It's worth the trip up there.”

“I live in the Fort Lee area so I usually shop at the Edgewater Whole Foods. However, whenever I am in the Closter vicinity, I make sure to visit the Closter Whole Foods as their produce is much fresher than Edgewater.”

“I’ve been coming here for almost twenty years. From the outside—and honestly, even from the inside—it doesn’t look especially impressive. But it’s truly a hidden gem! While they pretty much have everything you need, this isn’t where most people do their huge grocery hauls. I usually stock up on bulk basics like soda, paper products, and canned goods elsewhere. Still, I find myself at C-Town about twice a week, usually to grab what I need for dinner. Many times I walk in thinking, “What am I going to make tonight?”. It doesn’t take long to see something that inspires me. Other times I’m shopping for lunch the next day or to replenish essentials. The produce department is pretty good, though it’s not my favorite place to purchase fruit. The meat department, however, is very good and fairly priced. The deli is the real standout—it’s their shining star. They carry Boar’s Head products along with their own meats, rotisserie chickens, quiches, salads, cheeses, and truly excellent prepared foods. They even have fresh sushi made daily by someone right on site. Up front, there’s a nice selection of health and gluten-free foods, you can find popular Italian-American brand staples in the aisles. There’s also a small dessert section featuring Junior’s cheesecakes, and the bakery area is quite good too. On top of all that, the staff are genuinely nice and helpful. There is plenty of parking both in front and in the back. It’s definitely an IYKYK kind of place in town and I have a definite loyalty to it.”

“Best market in Mamaroneck, this store has quickly become our favorite place for food shopping in Mamaroneck. Lots of high-quality food and imported items. The bakery in the back makes sourdough on a daily basis.”

“love this store, the one in yorktown is even better (cleaner nicer with more options). Home baked goods are mostly delic with the exception of some. Too bad they don’t consistently have cheese out to try.”

“This is my favorite Indian grocery store where I can purchase cooked food on the weekend and Monday through Friday I can get all of the herbs and spices and meats that I desire. I go to this place all of the time and I’m always satisfied.”

4.3 Superb64 Reviews

“This place has better deli sandwiches than the Italian deli across the street - they’re made faster, less expensive, and include far more meat. They use boars head and fresh bread. I live around the corner and have always walked in with my sandwich made even calling only 5 minutes ahead. The breakfast sandwiches are passable but nothing to write home about. Honestly, a hidden gem.”

“Ordered samosas for an event at a friend’s home. Folks raved about the samosas. They definitely tasted fresh and flavorful. Will order food from this establishment again. I’ve also visited this grocery store for other needs and haven’t been disappointed. 🙏🏽”

“This place has everything you ever need for great food at a deli. The food is unreal all the pre made meals you can take home. All the side dishes. We grabbed two huge steaks they will just cut to size for you.

Yet the winner for me is the sandwiches. Like so many options and a great just basic menu. But you can add or change a few things. I absolutely love the roll they put it on with all the fresh sliced meat and cheese. Unreal. Love love love this place.”

4.4 Superb68 Reviews

“ShopRite of Northvale is a great grocery store with a wide selection of fresh produce, pantry staples, and household essentials. The store was clean, well organized, and easy to navigate. The shelves were well stocked, and there were plenty of options to choose from throughout the store. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the checkout process was quick and efficient. Overall, a reliable and convenient place for weekly grocery shopping.”

“This has a big variety of Hispanic foods. Very easy to get in and out. They have a hot deli but I've never used it. Nice produce! The ice cream freezers have sometimes had a problem of freezer burn or melting and refreezing. Check your products. My ice cream sandwiches were quite obviously thawed and refrozen. Surprisingly a lot of products for a small store. Always clean and well-stocked. Good prices.”
