“Yamille and her staff at Wallkill Valley Federal in Walden have always been an integral part of our family, especially my father. For many years, even if he wasn’t coming into the building to conduct his transactions, he would bring the staff donuts. It was as if everyone working in the building was his niece or nephew – or his middle school students when he taught many years ago. It became his purpose to brighten their day with sugar-filled happiness. In the last year or so, when our Dad needed additional help, my brother and I worked seamlessly with Yamille and her colleagues -- and we kept the donut tradition going. We understand that we didn’t have to do this, but it was the nice (and hopefully, unexpected) thing to do. This type of community banking and relationship management is often lost with the larger brick-and-mortar and virtual banks. Dad might have been a little old-fashioned, but he taught us one more thing about serving others, and working with people, like Yamille and her staff, who embody that service. “I'm not a big fan of Key Bank as a company, but the tellers at this particular branch are something special.
To make a long story short, I went in today because my account was compromised. It's very difficult for me to get there due to a lack of transportation, and I learned that I wouldn't be able to withdraw my paycheck from there until the next day.
Under normal circumstances I'd be screwed because I cannot possibly make it to the branch tomorrow, I have no transportation and I'm on my last 20 bucks, so not only did the teller offer to literally drive my money to my house tomorrow, they even got me a ride back home today.
To say that those people went above and beyond to help me is an understatement. That key bank branch is ran by angels. If any of you are reading this thank you, I owe you one.
If anyone else from key bank is reading this, give those people some raises, they deserve it.”
“Penfed's main customer service # routed to Lela at this branch, and she is a knowledgeable delight. I was hoping she could get credit for the sale in some way, but no she was just happy to be of help any way she could! Penfed has a great company culture and excellent rates (I got an autoloan in the past with them - I was told no origination fees or pre-payment penalty, and paid the loan off early without issue). Didn't know they had branches, and wish I had one near me!”

“(Reviewing specific location, not bank as a whole) helpful and friendly staff, has a drive through, free and wheel chair accessible parking. The only downside is that once the bank closes you cannot access the ATM (there is a card swipe to get in to the ATM after closinh but multiple people I know cannot get in with their citizens bank card)”
