“I'm a believer in serendipity, or maybe it's synchronicity. November 18th, 2022, my life changed forever when I saw the Hopper exhibit at the Whitney in NYC. I was always enamored by Nighthawks and the like, but seeing all of the works/sketches up close, was something else.I was told many years ago to take the train up to Nyack and see the Hopper house and the foliage, on November 17th, 2023 I did so. I was not disappointed. The admission ticket allows you to roam the house freely, but Eileen (who greeted me when I walked in) was a wealth of information and gave me my own personal tour. We spoke at length about many things and I spent over two hours there devouring all I could, especially information on Edward's wife Josephine Verstille Hopper (who's been neglected over the years - hopefully that will change). Eileen was kind enough to annotate a map of the places in Nyack that inspired Hopper paintings. I visited them as well.I will be back in the summer time for their storied Jazz Nights in the garden behind the house. If you love Hopper be sure to check this off your bucket list. I'm glad I did.”

“Been going here for many years. Highly recommend it. A 45 min walk through, pumpkins carved into all different scenes. They also serve beer, wine, hot chocolate and snacks.”

“Gorgeous spot and super inspiring. I feel like it embodies some of the best parts of the lower Hudson valley; beautiful nature scenes of small Rocky Mountain streams and waterfalls. Their design aesthetic should be more widespread in my opinion. If you don’t want to take the paid tour, you can still park and see some of the grounds for a nice 15 min break off the road.”

“Interesting and unique pieces from local artists and more well know and interesting exhibits. Not very large but just enough to spend a few hours. It was a nice visit with some cool modern art pieces. The only thing I would say is the entry price should be a little lower. It was empty when we arrived which might account for the high entry price. Open only on sat and Sunday with limited hours. It was something different and unique to do on a sat.”

“The Village of Pomona's Cultural Center is a wonderful place to see art and hear music! It's a beautiful fieldstone Arts and Crafts building, excellently designed and lit to showcase good art. The director/curator, Gde (Tjokorda Gde Arsa Artha), does a great job of putting together compelling exhibits and music events. This is a rare gem. Hours: 2:00-6:00 pm Friday-Sunday.”

“Art is all around when you visit the Hudson Valley. Went to see a friend's watercolor painting during a group show of artist members. What a great exhibition space in this converted industrial building. Lots of light, high ceilings, and interesting gallery space. Set among other buildings in the complex including a restaurant and a brewery. Events are happening so check out their website.”

“My daughter has taken many classes here, maga, ceramics, drawing and she loves it. Instructors are great teachers and talented artists. The grounds are beautiful too. Check out the class offerings. Also, the Catherine Konner Sculpture Park changes the outdoor exhibits periodically.”
