I come to this post office because it's close to us, closes at 3 on Saturdays, and the folks behind the desk are so helpful and nice. Never have had an issue and I've had service by different personnel. I like this over any other post office in Rockland... especially palisades mall where one person in particular is rude and miserable.”

“The women who work here are the kindest and most patient employees I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with at a post office. I will never use my local post offices again because this was by far the best experience I’ve ever had. They helped me use up old postage I ordered incorrectly so I could mail several packages without wasting it or buying new stamps. They were patient and kind and pleasant with everyone. We had a lovely conversation while they helped me and I honestly can’t say enough nice things. Best post office in the COUNTY!!! “I live in Peekskill but always use this Buchanan post office. The clerk is friendly, helpful and respectful. The mail gets to where it is supposed to go, and seems to travel a wee bit faster than mail out of Peekskill. So far I have not lost any mail leaving from Buchanan. I have lost a lot from Peekskill. Having said all that, I do like my Peekskill mailman, Eric who is great, but don’t like using the post office.”
“To be honest, I’ve only ever found helpful folks behind the desk at the Nyack post office.An example. Today I went to ship 4 separate insulated packages of Swiss chocolate and the clerk (Jessica) was super helpful and charismatic. She recommended the flat rate shipping sleeve to reduce the price and number of days it would take to ship the perishable items. Really saved my wallet and my worry about my gifts melting in the summer heat. ❤️”
“Great little post office. Never a line and Joe is always super friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile for you. I had to send a package that didn't quite fit in the standard box and he took the time and effort to bend, fold and tape it all together so I could send it. Way more than he needed to do!”

“I’ve been coming here for a while now. The counter people are super nice. The rest…. We’ll USPS is my last choice with any packages. They lie and pass the buck with the worst of them. I sent an overnight package cross country and the carrier ON VIDEO went to the door, looked around and left. No notice, knock or doorbell. The same carrier came back the next morning, signed my clients name (incorrectly) and dropped it in the mail box. They denied me a refund with no explanation. I have the cure… it’s ongoing ???”
“This is my favorite branch. It’s always clean and the staff is super friendly. I always run into people here who complain about everything but it’s the same people who’ve decided to come on a lunch break or they’re in the middle a rush to something else. A customers lack of time management has nothing to do with the staffing here”

However, I've noticed that when the office gets crowded, the staff can become noticeably frustrated, which affects the overall atmosphere. Additionally, there have been instances where the office felt understaffed, leading to prolonged wait times. “These guys work hard! Day in day out. Has the pandemic taught us nothing? Have some patience, be polite, be respectful to others and you will get treated with respect. These people complain about the littlest of things. I’ve seen people talk down to and abuse the staff that works there. If someone comes into your place of business/ work and disrespects you(bad reviews) how would you handle it? Exactly. Stop being disrespectful towards the staff there due to the color or their skin. Stop using your privilege to justify your infantile behavior. For the life of GOD these people worked day in and day out during the pandemic. While your privilege narcissistic behinds stay home getting fat, lazy, mindless on how to treat other humans with respect. West Nyack Post Office You Rock !!!!”
