“Great experience. I have an old VW GTI that needed a timing belt, ac compressor and a few small things done. I have multiple cars and work on everything myself, but was too busy to be able to get the work done on my own. Brought my car here and they had gotten it done very fast and did excellent work. They made it easy for me to contact them through email and over the phone, as I have a very busy schedule. I was even able to drop the car off and pick it up after hours, completely problem free. It is very difficult to find reputable shops, so if you’re looking for one, this is the place!”

“Pine Island Auto is such a find for someone like me who historically has insisted that any major work be performed by Audi, where the car was purchased. My husband has an A7, and while I continued driving all the way to Audi in New Jersey, an hour away, he began about 2 yrs ago using Pine Island Auto. (A friend who owns luxury cars recommended them to my husband.) Well, back in July, I started getting an alarming message on my dashboard that my brake pads had reached their limit. I ran to Audi, and they confirmed my gently driven car (under 36,000 miles) did indeed need brake work done. My husband highly encouraged me to get a second opinion from Pine Island Auto before we spent $2,000 having Audi do it. I’m so glad I followed his suggestion, because these guys did a thorough inspection, and determined that I did NOT need this work done. Instead, they performed some other maintenance items, sprucing up the vehicle, then made arrangements to drive my car home for me (so convenient…thank you Tom!). The car has been driving like a dream ever since, and I’m completely sold as a client. What a gift that they are 5 miles away.

They even cut their lunch short to get our car fixed and get us back on the road. With all that went wrong with this car, I guarantee any other place would have had to keep the car to do it. “I had an amazing experience at Middletown Volkswagen. Everyone there was extremely friendly and shockingly (by comparison to other normal dealers) not pushy AT ALL. I specifically worked with Byron Greathouse and that dude was phenomenal. Not kidding when I tell you, there wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer about the Atlas Peak Performance I purchased. I threw everything at him, but not only that, he understood that with a growing family, I had specific needs with this vehicle. Way to go Volkswagen with hiring that guy! “So, I went to see relatives in Scranton, PA with my grandmother - we’re from northeastern Connecticut. I was driving a rental car (an Audi Q3 - I had free credits because of a previous late cancellation and I wanted to use them up, so I figured I might as well use a rental for the trip and gave my car a break. Well, it seemed like a good idea until we got a flat tire when coming home on I-84 eastbound near Port Jervis, NY. We called AAA and they put on the spare tire, which of course was really a “donut” tire - can’t go over 55 MPH and can’t drive over 70 miles, and we had over 160 miles left on our trip home. So, we had to get the spare “donut” tire replaced with a “real” tire lol. The AAA mechanic recommended Mavis Discount Tire in Middletown, NY, so that’s where we went. Unfortunately, since the Audi Q3 is an AWD vehicle, it was quite important that we replace the tire with the same exact brand/model of tire, and they did not have that specific tire in stock on that day, so we had to wait one day. We stayed at a hotel and went back to Mavis the next day, and they put the new tire on the car and we were all set to go back home! So, we made it home, but then we discovered that, although we had asked the guys at Mavis to leave the flat tire in the car so we could take photos of it to show to the rental car company, it wasn’t there, but they were very busy that day so it was completely understandable. We called them back and Leon was nice enough to check and see if they still had the flat tire there - which hopefully wasn’t too much work, searching through their pile of old tires! Sure enough, Leon found the flat tire and texted me perfect photos of it. The tires on the car were in very bad shape according to Mavis, completely unacceptable for a rental car, so we wanted to have a photo of the flat tire to use as evidence! Thanks so much, we really appreciate the help, couldn’t have done a better job!!!”

“I'm so glad I learned about Maxx Automotive after looking on Google for auto shops near Middletown. I had taken my vehicle to a different business for an oil change and tire rotation, and was told my brakes (and several other parts related to brakes) needed to be changed. I immediately called Maxx Automotive hoping to at least get a rough quote that day but ok with the idea it may not happen. It was close to the holidays, I was asking for same day service...I figured I may have to wait a few weeks, which I was ok with. I knew it'd be a long shot. However, Kim was so patient, informative, accommodating, and trustworthy! She and her husband, John, were able to squeeze me in to not only get a quote, but to get the service done that day as well in a timely manner! They were able to show me where the other business was being truthful vs where they were upselling me. Their service was over $1550 cheaper than the other business. John has over 2 decades of experience working on vehicles and also has experience as an auto inspector. These two hard working folks run a trustworthy business that has exceptional customer service and and quality service. I'll definitely be back in the future and I recommend everyone give them a shot!”
