“I was recommended to Mel's service when I reached out to another local mechanic for an appointment that happened to be closing down. I am a young woman just learning about cars on my own and was trying to find a reliable, honest mechanic. I have taken my Chevy Cruze to Mel's service multiple times for work and diags. I had been taking my car to the dealership but felt like I was being taken advantage of. John (I believe) was always honest and upfront and took care of any problems I have had. The most recent time I took it in for a diag on an oil leak, he had me come back twice throughout the week before telling me to go back to the dealership who had just previously worked on my car because I shouldn't have to pay after having this part replaced recently. I did not end up paying a penny for anything thanks to his advice.”

“If you're ever in Lockport, NY, and need car stuff done, go to Housel's. They are not the stereotypical mechanic. They're super honest, and don't try to trick you into stuff you don't need. Their pricing is extremely fair. Everyone there is really nice too. They make you feel welcome and take the time to explain things, so you're not left confused. It's like visiting friends who know a lot about cars. I can't stress it enough, they're super trustworthy and have saved me from unnecessary repairs and saved me money multiple times. They do their job right and treat everyone with respect. That's pretty rare these days. So, yeah, if your car needs some love, go to Housel's. They're awesome. I always leave feeling good about my car and my wallet. Definitely recommend them!”
