“I came here 9/3/24 to apply for my first ever passport. the workers were helpful and attended to me quickly. I paid for regular routine service and received my passport in the mail 9/16/24 (less than 2 weeks non expedited!!) I then received my birth certificate in the mail 9/19/24. this was such an easy and quick process and I appreciate the workers at this post office who helped out!”

She manually postmarked and then she also assisted me with additional postage to ensure that they would not go through machine and/or be returned or ruined. Nahed was very knowledgeable!”

“This post office is great . James was super helpful and took his time to help me with my questions and prices . Going to the post office can sometimes be an anxiety inducing process. But this location is very cozy and usually isn’t packed with a line . I’d recommend going to this location if you are in the area for your postal needs. Once again James who was working the front was totally chill.”

“I prefer no other post office but Brightwaters. From day one, the past staff and current staff have been so amazing and provided excellent customer service. I love walking in and greeting Dee by her first name like a friendly small town thing. She also provided me with a lot of valuable info and instructions as I ship out often. Great post office, great service. I am grateful for them.”
“I just want to give a huge shout out to both Rose and Brandon. Rose was the front clerk on duty when we visited, and Brandon was doing passport applications. Both workers were very polite, friendly, and courteous. My family and I were visiting for the weekend to reapply for my son's passport on 04/25. I originally had made an appointment with the Farmingdale location on Main Street, but ended up visiting the Lindenhurst location instead. The staff at the Farmingdale location who was doing the passports were unfriendly, rude, and unprofessional. I've heard a lot of bad stories about this location, and I so happen to have witnessed it first hand.
Because we ended up not getting my son's passport done at the Farmingdale PO, I rushed to the Lindenhurst PO in hopes that they would be able to take us as a walk-in. Lucky to say Rose, who greeted me very pleasantly, was able to give us the last walk-in slip for the day.
Brandon assisted us, and we were able to get my son's passport application submitted. We requested the routine service, which typically takes 4-6 weeks, but we got my son's passport in a little under 3 weeks.
I also witnessed a customer coming in right before they close to get passport services, and instead of them him away, Rose jumped in and assisted the customer with their application since Brandon was still finishing up with us. I'm sure if this was the other post office in Farmingdale or Babylon, this customer would have been turned away in a heartbeat.
I certainly will be only visiting the Lindenhurst post office in the future whenever I am in the town. To Rose and Brandon, kudos to you guys! Continue to give your customers the A+ customer service and professionalism you guys showed us that day.”
“I've lived in Commack since 1976. The staff at this post office over the decades, has been wonderful. Rico, Rich, Heather and Zelda to name a few along with my carriers Ralph(RIP), Chuck, Clutch and Nikki have been so pleasant. From mail, to packages and passport s, the service has been great.”
“The things supervisor 'Mike' has done for me deserve 10/10 stars.
My express package was lost, somewhere in transit. Within an hour of speaking with him, and him sending out emails and faxes, it immediately within 5 hours continued movement. ON TWO OCCASIONS. He then promised no matter what time it made it to the post office if before 6pm, he'd send a truck out to have it delivered to me.

“I'm constantly reminded that I should always come here any and every time I go to the Smithtown location.Never once have I had one single issue here in fact the service here is always very respectful and they go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. If you go to Smithtown you will most likely be greeted with the exact opposite service. Do yourself a favor, don't go to Smithtown.”

The people who work here never help solve anything. I need a refund and to fill out a form for it, and they refused to help me at all. They always say they don't know or that it can't be done. When I call and speak to a USPS agent, they send me to the address where I sent the mail. When I get there, no one is available to help. They only receive packages, and they deny you anything else you need... horrible!! I've been fighting for a package for 3 months, and in the end, I'll lose my package and the international shipping money because they won't help...”
“I came here for my passport Renewal and I had a great experience. Thank you Kimberly so sweet and fast and Cory helped me taking picture for the passport at your lunch time. There was a crying infant took pictures before me I saw how Cory was so patient with the baby.”

assisted me. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He was unable to locate the package and I was about to leave. But as I was pulling out, he actually ran outside to let me know it was just coming off of a mail truck they were unloading. “I do a lot of shipping here, there almost weekly, and yes sometimes the wait is longer but I’ve experienced that at many different post offices- this location is different because they work very fast to make all transactions as easy and efficient as possible- I’ve seen the staff help people out and giving customers information to make their shipping cheaper- very patient and knowledgeable, this is my number one spot for my mailing needs- I’m being totally honest, they really are great here-”
“This is the best Post Office in Suffolk! Never a long line; the staff is very efficient. They respect your time, and know you have to get back to work. Additionally, they are always helpful and polite. If you picked the wrong box or there is better way to send it? They take the time to explain it. Plus the lobby is always CLEAN and smells fresh!”
“Who goes to post office anymore but sometimes you have to I’ve been here to drop aparcels for Amazon and mainly we’ve been here for the kids passports. The staff here was very friendly with us when they did the passport application. pictures always take time so you have to go through the pain of taking the pictures again and again and again, but They were very patient with us. My children are blind some of them and it is hard to position them for the passport pictures but these people were very cooperative and I’m very thankful to them.”
