“Lovely atmosphere with background music, excellent lighting, clean, safe, polite. I bought foods, furniture wheels and slidders, windshield wiper fluid, etc. Prices were reasonable. Service was great- the tram member took me to where my requested item was. The store was well organized. I enjoy shopping here. Nice, flat parking lot with lots of spaces and shopping cart availability. An enjoyable visit. The overhead messages encouraged us to buy food and coats for those who need them, and on return we could spend the same amount on other items for ourselves.”

“Love to visit this location most of the time. One thing that is consistent is the way William jumps through hoops to personally help customers. I have been the recipient of his assistance on several occasions. This last time, today, Sunday August 3, 2025, he maintained his great customer service even as his supervisor/manager spoke unprofessionally and unkindly to him. I applaud him for maintaining his professionalism, regardless of the hostile work environment!!!”
“The owner of the store gives super good customer service, I ended up buying a really high-quality jacket there at a great price. I would definitely recommend this store if you are in Albany and looking for an army navy store. They have a lot of clothing and also knives and some other accessories but I did not get a full chance to look around the store so there’s probably a lot that I did not even see. It’s not a huge place but it’s very conveniently located and definitely worth checking out.”

“I'm trying to dress more conservatively, so I bought three clothing items yesterday from this store which totaled to about $48. One of them fit perfectly, but the other 2 did not. I brought them back in their original packaging to exchange them for something else. The workers are so loving, patient, and helpful. Thank you all so much for being active members of our community.”

“Came in and found what I was looking for quite easily. On my way into the door I was politely greeted by the young man at the register. He hit me with a “Good Morning Welcome In” and all I could do was smile truly helped make my already rocky morning feel a little better. As I got up to cash out the register had a line of about 6 or 7 people the young man kicked it into high gear and got everyone in line out the door within 15 minutes when it was my turn he greets me again “Hello Sir how are you today” for someone of his age to have such respect in his line of work is amazing. He went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of at the register. When all was done he looked at me and said “God Bless you and Stay Safe”… absolute gentleman they have working here nowadays… definitely coming back as long as this young man works there..👍👍”

“Friendliest service here in a while, employees are courteous and very informative about store items, usually not hard to find whatever you might be looking to buy. Not a place for while foods and hot food items ready to go, not that type of business.”
“Overall, not a bad experience. Aisles a little cluttered. A few U-boats of merchandise around the store, unattended - they should be back in the stock room if no one is unloading them, to make room for the customers. I found everything I needed and then some. Friendly guy at register, although did not have a Dollar General uniform or nametag on (3/14/26 around 3 - 4 PM).”

“I door dash as a second job and I must compliment the Troy,New York Dollar General . Jessica or Melanie has been such a big help in the past and currently still very helpful with everything. She is kind has great customer service and keeps the store in shape. She is very motivated and egar to help the customers even if it doesn’t have to do with purchasing products at the store I know from experience she’s a breath of fresh air. She sets a great example for the other employees in the capital district. The store has been very cleanly and is always stocked. As I said I door dash for a second job and have been to most of the dollar generals in the area and even out of state this is the best one this far. “The young lady that helped me the other day when I went there to shop I am undisabled on a wheelchair scooter. And she was so attentive. She did her job perfectly helping a disabled person although I can walk sometimes I cannot use my hands or my feet properly I have neuropathy in my whole entire body which is affecting me a great deal now and I want to thank her very much I still have to go back to see her whichever do probably tomorrow but in all reality when you work a job and you'll see it disabled person that needs help whatever you do you must be attentive see help me put my stuff on the counter bag my stuff accordingly the way I needed a bagged and she helped me a great deal her name is nakeyta.”

“As an older woman, I don’t really get out much! I’ve been to the store various times over. There is one woman by the name of Dianne whom every time I am in, to my knowledge isn’t doing her job, at least properly. And whoever works with her she makes them do nearly everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. Not to mention she has treated her fellow employees unfairly, as well as gives customers poor attitude.
However, I’m not going to let my experience with her affect my rating on this location. I went in today and was greeted by two men of the names Jay and Zack. They are always so welcoming and kind, and I genuinely enjoy my shopping experience whenever they’re here. They’re the reason I’m so comfortable coming to shop here.”
