“Great selection for food including vegan/plant-based supplies. Very good pharmacy setup as well. The best part for me is that you can't walk 10 feet without someone asking you if you need anything or just to have some hilarious banter. So.e people complain about the quality of produce, but please keep in mind it is winter, lots of snow and ferries have had a bad couple of weeks crossing. I moved here almost 2 years ago and the people (Newfoundlanders) are the reason I will stay forever. PS: apologies to the cashier today who got a song worm in her brain from my singing!! Keep making people smile and keep up the good work.”
“When it comes to a convenience store, this place has it all.
I've never had to further than this place to get what I need, when I need it. And their prices are always on par with the larger box stores.”
“Staff are kind, though the selection of food items can be mournful and prices higher than elsewhere on the island. In any case, there are fresh vegetables and fruits, frozen items, milk products (all yoghurts here are sweetened, btw) and household necessities. The adjacent liquor shop has 2 local-ish products ! A beer from Nova Scotia (Spindrift) and a blueberry wine.”
“Such a niche grocery store! my favorite place to shop, employees very helpful and friendly especially this one guy (He knows who he is) I have recommended this Sobeys location to all my friends Have never had a bad experience!”
“Very well organized. Produce was fresh . Plenty to choose from. Meat department had great sales and mouth watering meats available. Shelves were stocked and easily found everything I needed. Friendly cashier as well. Good job Sobeys?”
