Horse and Hero is an original art deco storefront that specializes in NeoAppalachian arts and crafts. The store is honestly incredible and a gem for visiting Asheville. It is a wonderful, varied selection of local artists with amazing work range from art prints, stationary, cards, stickers, clothing, jewelry, washi tape, figurines and apparel. Friendly staff and a friendly cashier made it fun. Price varying so everyone can leave with something and the range of items is great for art lover. Times stop in on the way to the Museum of Art or while out on the road and they often buy something and recommend the shop. Horse and Hero should be on list of favorite stores.
Whenever I go to Asheville I make sure to always stop here and I never leave empty handed. My favorite art/print shop that has something for everyone. I’ve also met many of the artists here at the big crafty and they’re lovely

Such a great store!! So much cool, funky, unique, funny, beautiful art, and in so many different mediums. A great, practical way to support great artists. :)
