“This is an older hotel. Keep that in mind when you visit. I am currently staying here and it’s just lovely. Rooms are clean and quiet. No odd odors like some have mentioned. Haven’t visited the pool/hot tubs yet, but rec room is spacious with a TV. Nestled on the side of a mountain with great views of Grandfather Mountain. My friend’s family has been staying here for years and I have no complaints thus far. Worth checking out!”

“What a wonderful motel! Such attention to detail inside and outside of the room. The staff was personable and attentive. If you’re looking for a break from the average hotel chain and want to see how it use to be done, and done very well, we highly recommend a stay at Hidden Valley Motel. “We have stayed at this location prior to the new ownership. The updates made to the rooms and the rest of the space is beautiful, someone really cared about making this a true retreat in Banner Elk. The rooms were clean and spacious. Julie checked us in and was really awesome. Through conversation she learned we were LMC parents and ensured we were appropriately accommodated. Really great experience and highly recommend to anyone needing a place to stay in the area.”
