Beaufort Hardware & Paint Company, formerly Beaufort Ace Home Center, is a hometown-focused hardware store with almost 30 years of history. It provides excellent customer service, which is its shining star, with friendly, helpful, and eager employees who offer assistance. The store is always clean and well-stocked, carrying just about everything for home projects, including a large saltwater fishing selection. It has a family feeling, unlike big-box stores, and is known for better prices, better products, and a focus on the customer. Many find it to be far and away the best hardware store in the county.
This place is awesome because I don't have to drive all the way to the other side of Morehead City to get what I need. It is a key business to have in Beaufort. Staff is friendly and helpful and I usually find a few options for what I need.

Reminds me of Ace Hardware back home. Because it's not a big-box store like Lowe's or Home Depot, it is more like a family feeling. If you come on a regular basis, the workers practically know you...and it's in Beaufort so I don't have to go across the bridge for a screwdriver!
