“We had such a wonderful time at The Cotton Candy Factory! We went with our nieces thinking it’d be a fun treat for the kids—but dare I say the adults had even more fun?! The spin-on-demand cotton candy characters were a blast to watch come to life, and the nostalgic candy shop vibes brought back so many memories.

The variety of cotton candy flavors was impressive (and delicious!), and the fact that everything is packaged with care makes it a perfect gift or treat to-go. But what really sets this place apart is the heart behind it—staffed by the amazing residents of Holy Angels, every purchase supports a mission that matters.

If you’re looking for something sweet to do as a family—and want to feel good about where your dollars are going—don’t miss this place. It’s sugar, smiles, and so much soul.”

“I'd say this is definitely the most organized Goodwill I've ever been to. Being that it's one of the largest I've been to, it helps with not feeling as claustrophobic as some others. The staff are friendly and helpful and prices are reasonable.”

“This place is full of fine Americans - current/former members of the Armed Forces and volunteers alike!

A few things to know before you go:

1. They are located on the second floor above the fast food kinda places.
2. Unlike a lot of other USO locations they are not a 24-hour operation.
3. A little on the small side but the way their space is divided up it seems to work.”

“Came here as part of a residential treatment program. Also should be said that Horses are terrifying animals.

Worked with Steph and Lindsey and they were both really great human beings. Caring, trustworthy and supportive. Also made me look a little deeper.

I picked Oreo as the horse to work with - mainly because I was told he was great with kids.

Overall a great experience. As I move forward I hope to be able to come back and muck some stalls for everyone.”

“My family is incredibly grateful to the entire team at lifespan. Ken and Chris are great human beings who CARE about the loved ones they support. There are going to be challenges everywhere with limited resources and staffing but they do the best in spite of the challenges. As someone who has a loved one in the system for his entire life, I wholeheartedly support and recommend them.”

“A quick stop to see what's what here, this is an awesome spot for just about everything you might need for a home. Furniture, cabinetry, appliances, even bathtubs and yes, a kitchen sink. Books and DVDs, too. The aisles are a little crowded and I'm not quite sure how this store is organized but wow, an impressive selection and if I was at a point where I needed to fill an apartment having just moved to Charlotte, this would be the spot.”

“Absolutely love the Warlick Location. The childwatch at this location is the only reason I’m able to workout and make my health a priority. We love the toddler programs and events. My daughter still hasn’t stopped talking about the Daddy Daughter dance from 2 months ago.”

“I'm not gonna lie, when I first walked in I thought I was working behind the scenes seeing all the customers next to the giant bins of clothing and their own large clothes bins. Unfortunately for me, I was looking for more ceramics and unusual knick knacks and was greatly disappointed to see that only the left wall was for those items and very few were actually there.
If you're looking for clothes this Goodwill is great, but if you're looking for knick knacks, ceramics, or glassware this is not the place to be.”

“I stopped by this Goodwill location recently (June 22, 2025) and had such a great experience that I had to share. First off, the selection was solid—tons of adorable girls’ clothing (seriously, so cute!), but not much for boys this time around. I also found a bunch of great-condition toys, stuffed animals, and household items. And let’s just say I walked out with way more than I planned—including some kitchenware I definitely didn’t need but couldn’t resist ?.

The dresses were a little pricier than what I’ve seen at other Goodwills, but the quality was clearly better—super cute and worth it in my opinion. I posted a few photos of price tags in case anyone wants a reference.

But what really stood out was the customer service. Out of all the years I’ve been shopping at Goodwill—and trust me, I’ve spent hundreds (maybe thousands!) at a single location over time—I’ve never been thanked so genuinely for coming in. The associate actually welcomed me so kindly and even opened another register just to help me check out faster. That kind of service is rare and really made the whole visit extra special.

All around, such an amazing experience. I’m already looking forward to going back to see what new treasures show up next!”

“Good food at Goodwill!

We spent about $56 total. As you can see, we had a nice variety:

2-meat dinner: chicken wings and turkey wing over rice with macaroni & cheese and fried corn. Everything was delicious except the fried corn.

1-meat dinner ($16): barbecue turkey wing over rice with yams and collard greens. Everything was great besides the collard greens.

Smashburger single ($9): came with cheese and bacon, plus a side of mac & cheese for $2.00.

Fountain drinks were $2.50 each.

The wait was about 15 minutes, which was reasonable, and the workers were very friendly, polite, and helpful. They got the order right the first time, and the food came out hot and fresh. The atmosphere was beautiful—music playing, a nice vibe, and even alcohol drinks available.

Overall, we really enjoyed the food and experience here.”

“We travel around and visiting Goodwill has become part of our vacations. This location is not bad. Visually, I love that they arrange things by colour. It's a nice touch. Unfortunately, they don't have change rooms so, it's purchase first, return for store credit if it doesn't fit.

I feel the staff didn't do a good job explaining the return policy to me. I didn't know it was tied to that store. Since I don't live nearby, I ended up doing an exchange and spent a bit more, which is fine. I've never returned to any Goodwill in the past since they all had change rooms.

I didn't experience what everyone is saying about the staff. I thought they were all very polite, helpful, and laid back.

Selection was massive and store was consistently busy. Overall, positive experiences.”
