“I'd say this is definitely the most organized Goodwill I've ever been to. Being that it's one of the largest I've been to, it helps with not feeling as claustrophobic as some others. The staff are friendly and helpful and prices are reasonable.”

“Absolutely lovely store. All of the ladies were very friendly. The men’s section was small but had everything I was looking for. They even had half off all of my items because it was Thursday. Looking forward to to my next shopping trip.”

“I would like to nominate an employee: Jessica Beach as employee of the month for Shopton Rd store because she is an exceptional employee. She is helping in all areas of the store with no hesitation. You can see her helping customers at front, greeting them, also as a cashier, helping in the donation area, bringing products and merchandise to the sales floor and helping in different roles in the store, where they need it. I really appreciate this kind of energy and ethical attitude in an employee.”

“A quick stop to see what's what here, this is an awesome spot for just about everything you might need for a home. Furniture, cabinetry, appliances, even bathtubs and yes, a kitchen sink. Books and DVDs, too. The aisles are a little crowded and I'm not quite sure how this store is organized but wow, an impressive selection and if I was at a point where I needed to fill an apartment having just moved to Charlotte, this would be the spot.”

“Sunday evening I stopped in the Franklin Square Goodwill to look for a lamp. I found a several lamps. I asked for assistance from an employee placing items on the floor to see if the lamps worked. Mr. Ronald MC went above & be beyond, he went to the back and got a lightbulb and helped me check the lamps. I really appreciated his helpful courteous nature. I recommend this Goodwill.”

“I shop at Bargain Hunters in Mount Holly.I look for Unique items, and vintage clothing. I love to look for Pictures, and Items such as dressers, end tables, Chairs to Chalk Paint. They have increased their prices, if I like the item, I will still purchase it. It is cleaner and better organized than in the past. I am a Thrifter to Heart. I would recommend Bargain Hunters to a TRUE Thrifter.”

“I'm not gonna lie, when I first walked in I thought I was working behind the scenes seeing all the customers next to the giant bins of clothing and their own large clothes bins. Unfortunately for me, I was looking for more ceramics and unusual knick knacks and was greatly disappointed to see that only the left wall was for those items and very few were actually there.
If you're looking for clothes this Goodwill is great, but if you're looking for knick knacks, ceramics, or glassware this is not the place to be.”

“Not a lot of stuff to choose from, prices are different depending on what you looking for.
There are some cute accessories for occasions like Easter that was cute. My recommendation if you holiday decor hunting check their locations, you can find decent things for cheap.”

“I stopped by this Goodwill location recently (June 22, 2025) and had such a great experience that I had to share. First off, the selection was solid—tons of adorable girls’ clothing (seriously, so cute!), but not much for boys this time around. I also found a bunch of great-condition toys, stuffed animals, and household items. And let’s just say I walked out with way more than I planned—including some kitchenware I definitely didn’t need but couldn’t resist ?.

The dresses were a little pricier than what I’ve seen at other Goodwills, but the quality was clearly better—super cute and worth it in my opinion. I posted a few photos of price tags in case anyone wants a reference.

But what really stood out was the customer service. Out of all the years I’ve been shopping at Goodwill—and trust me, I’ve spent hundreds (maybe thousands!) at a single location over time—I’ve never been thanked so genuinely for coming in. The associate actually welcomed me so kindly and even opened another register just to help me check out faster. That kind of service is rare and really made the whole visit extra special.

All around, such an amazing experience. I’m already looking forward to going back to see what new treasures show up next!”

“Good food at Goodwill!

We spent about $56 total. As you can see, we had a nice variety:

2-meat dinner: chicken wings and turkey wing over rice with macaroni & cheese and fried corn. Everything was delicious except the fried corn.

1-meat dinner ($16): barbecue turkey wing over rice with yams and collard greens. Everything was great besides the collard greens.

Smashburger single ($9): came with cheese and bacon, plus a side of mac & cheese for $2.00.

Fountain drinks were $2.50 each.

The wait was about 15 minutes, which was reasonable, and the workers were very friendly, polite, and helpful. They got the order right the first time, and the food came out hot and fresh. The atmosphere was beautiful—music playing, a nice vibe, and even alcohol drinks available.

Overall, we really enjoyed the food and experience here.”

“Mrs. Donna and the whole team of Habitat for Humanity was awesome, so kind, and generous to us. With the help of Habitat for Humanity we were able to furnish our first apartment. We are so grateful to the organization and donors who make it possible! I learned a valuable lesson of asking for help when needed. Also hope I can give back and volunteer and do the same for others.”
