I bought a bike online that required “some assembly” upon delivery, and once I assembled it and took it for a short test drive, I quickly realized it needed some serious work that was beyond my capabilities.

I took it to Back Alley the next day, and after a thorough tune up they had me on my way.

Charlie took the time to answer all my questions and highlight some long term maintenance/ pain points that might come up, which I really appreciated as this is a bike I’m going to use to tow my kids in on some trails near our home; I genuinely felt like my safety and my kids safety was their highest priority before they let the bike leave their shop.

I also appreciated how detailed they were in the notes of the receipt for the tune up, as this allowed me to bring it back to the manufacturer to request a partial refund.”

“Terrific service. They always take care of me and the technicians treat my bike like it was their own. On my recent tune-up service they noticed I had added a purple accent color to my tube caps and stem cap. While replacing my derailleur cable they capped the end of the cable with a purple cap. It was a very minor thing but it highlights the shop’s attention to detail which is greatly appreciated.”

“Great place with honest people. I bought a specialized gravel bike and Dave and Jacob and Gregg have all been super awesome and very helpful. There was even an issue with my front tire and they were able to get my front and rear tire replaced at no cost since it was more of a lemon issue with the bike versus anything they did or I did.

“Friendly staff that gets excited about the same goofy stuff I do. I've bought gear from them before. Dropped my bike off for a tune up recently, and it's like a brand new bike. I didn't know my brakes could be that good! They are THE bike shop on Franklin, so don't make the same mistake I did and pick the first week of class to drop your bike off. You will have a bit of a wait. But that's a me problem. High quality work at a fair price.”
