“I brought a pair of shoes a month ago. They started to squeak when I walk/run. I’d thrown the box away. The employees in the store processed a return and helped me get a different style shoe without question. Apparently, the squeaky sound is common for that style (cloud surfer) great experience!”
“This is a great store with friendly staff and a wide selection of clothes.It would be really awesome if they increased their size selection to include clothes for wider range of bodies. At least for women they only seem have up to XL. I realize some of the outdoor brands (ex - Patagonia, Toad & Co) don’t actually make inclusive clothes, but there are brands that do a better job of this and I would really love to see this store carry more sizes. I was there shopping with my spouse for quite a while recently and almost certainly would have bought something if there was literally anything I could try on in the store (other than men’s clothes). Again, totally appreciate this store, but do think making it more inclusive to folks in bigger bodies (who also like to go outside!) would be a really awesome improvement.”

“Oh, where to begin. As I had graduated before the opening, it was not too long before my return to CH to discover this fabulous place of family. Mr. Henderson greeted me upon entering and made me feel like this place was opened just for me. One of my favorite visits was a weekday. I parked on Franklin Street just because I found a parking place, y'all know what I mean. I was going into the Head just as Michael Jordan was coming out. There I was, in the doorway chest to chest with MJ. Mr. Henderson laughed and said I was being played one-on-one. In 1993, Mr. Henderson was selling championship shirts out of a dutch door set-up at the store. Yes, I got one and have left instructions that I am to be buried in that shirt! I have never visited CH and not gone in there. I always find something I can't live without. Recently, I was trying to order a "foot" magnet for my car. (I live out-of-state.) There were none available. I phoned to inquire about a reorder. I was told they would be restocked. The person I spoke with said, "of course" then she took my name and number to call when they arrived. Sure enough, the phone call came. What other store would do that? I love being part of the Shrunken Head family and will continue to be one until the day I die.”
“I looked at a few places in Chapel Hill for NC sports wear for youths. My Grandaughter wanted a NC t shirt. This store has them . Great selection also. They also carry adult sizes too. Metered parking on the street in front of the store. Cost me .25 cents to park for a few minutes. I ran in and out. I knew what I was looking for. The staff is very friendly also here. I would recommend it.”
“Dave is super friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful, and quite experienced in racquet service. If that isn’t enough, his prices are better than any stores/clubs around here, and his turnaround time tends to be much faster!”

“I made an order online and received the items very quickly, only took 3 days to deliver. I made the mistake of ordering several items too large and the return/exchange was very smooth, I left a note explaining what I would like to exchange and shipped those items back (which they provided a returning label) I was surprised that I had a package already delivered to me with all the correct exchanges, literally only took a week from the day I shipped to the day I got the new delivery. Very satisfied customer here!”
“Great place for new and used discs. Found a pro Firebird in pretty good condition for $8. The used discs are always fun, a lot of them have custom graphics from events etc. they also usually have owner information written in permanent marker on the underside ?. I actually once did contact the owner of a used disc because it had been a prize in an event and the plea for its return covered half the underside of the disc ?”
“The staff here are so incredibly sweet. I was trying on clothes a few weeks ago when my 4 year old son needed to use the restroom immediately and they accommodated him without hesitation. They were also so helpful with finding sizes. Thank you!”
“I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Joshua McDuffie.He was patient, kind and went above and beyond to help my 87-year-old Mom. She is hard to fit - very narrow size - and she is very specific about what she likes and doesn't.Joshua was not only knowledgeable, he was really, really nice.My Mom ordered a pair of walking shoes and another pair is coming in for her to try. Even when it looked like there wasn't going to be a sale, he gave the same level of white glove service.Retail needs more salespeople like Joshua. Thank you!”
“Just had a great experience at REI. Was pleasantly surprised to realize that they are relatively size inclusive and has many items in up to at least women’s 3x. I feel like pretty much every company could be doing better at including folks in larger bodies, but I definitely appreciate REI for doing better than many places and actually having larger sizes stocked in the store (not just online).”

She helped me and my brother create an account in store so we were able to get a better deal on the clothes we were buying! and even though the store didn’t have the size we needed she ordered it online for us to get shipped to our house! She was awesome, super thoughtful, and thorough with the answers to any questions you may have! “I went for some tredmill belt lubrication. It wasn't any in the store (online it said there were three). But a woman helped me out and when she couldn't find it, she had Malcolm help me. They both were very nice and helpful. Malcolm placed an order online for me while in the store and it was quick and easy. According to my girls, he's nice on the eyes(he is) and sounds tough, in a good way, lol. But I was still able to get what I came for with the help of those two, thank you!!”
