“Amazing !! The selection of meat/fish is fantastic. A little on the pricey side but totally worth it. Veteran steak of the month club participant and tenderloin sandwiches are my family's favorite lunch.”

“El Torro has a wide selection of hispanic foods and products. Our Mexican American family goes here specifically for our tamales ingredients. You can order premade masa, and there is a great bakery!”

“The service here is fantastic. We were next door at Triangle Wine and they hand delivered our sandwiches to us during the Ophelia tropical storm! The sandwiches were delicious and made perfectly. The only thing for improvement here is the bread, but it doesn’t require so much improvement that it takes away from the sandwiches at all. We just really like good bread!”

“I would like to give a shout out to Al-Kareem Store for providing quality service regarding Qurbani. Alhamdullilah, I had a great experience! Meat pieces were perfectly sized without us having to spend any cut work time later. It was awesomely done. Thank you so much for serving our community.”

“Honestly they only deserve 4 stars, but I felt like I needed to counteract the two one-star reviews, since one was about masks and one was about someone not knowing what to expect from a Mexican meat market. The tacos are pretty good. Barbacoa was tender and juicy, though smoked a bit more than I'd like. The al pastor was not good on it's own, mushy and grainy, but somehow became delicious after adding salsas to it. The Chuleta Ahumada was outstanding. I've never had this meat in a taco before, but it was both crispy and tender with great flavor. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla which was pretty good, but severely lacking in cheese. However it came with avocado, jalapeños, and other additions on the side which were unexpected and definitely improved it. I'd recommend not coming here if you don't have at least a basic understanding of Spanish; the girl at the register did not even understand me when I asked for "three tacos." Someone did come over to the register to help translate, but I just started speaking Spanish and he left us alone. In any case, I definitely intend to go back, and in my opinion no restaurant that I want to return to should have 3 stars”
