“I searched and searched and finally found a good carnicería here in Raleigh. I moved to NC from Los Angeles and struggled to find a quality Mexican style carnicería like what I was used to in Los Angeles … this place is it! My search is over. They cut anything to your liking. Their pre-seasoned chicken wings or short ribs are the best. Anyone struggling to find a Mexican style carnicería or just a quality butcher market overall come here ! You won’t be disappointed.”
“El Torro has a wide selection of hispanic foods and products. Our Mexican American family goes here specifically for our tamales ingredients. You can order premade masa, and there is a great bakery!”

“Great Quality Meats for a good value, priced reasonably, the customization as well as the customer service were great! I was greeted when I came in and thanked before I left. They also carry a decent variety of different International Foods and a lot of essentials for your grocery needs.”
“I’ve been a loyal customer of Butcher’s Market for a while now, and I want to start by saying I still love this place — the service, the selection, and the overall experience have kept me coming back. But I have to be honest: the quality has slipped lately.
I picked up some marinated steak tips recently, and two of the pieces were so full of tendons and fat that they really should’ve been tossed as scrap rather than sold as cuts to grill. When you’re paying for quality meat, you expect it to be trimmed and ready to cook, not loaded with gristle you have to work around.
I’m not writing this to bash the store — I genuinely want it to keep being the great spot it’s been. I just hope the team tightens up on quality control so the product matches the reputation. I’ll keep shopping here, but I’d love to see the consistency get back to where it used to be.”
