“I came to Chapel Hill from Japan in April. I'm a wine enthusiast, and I was truly surprised to find such a wonderful store in Chapel Hill. Even considering the depreciation of yen , the wines here are more affordable than in Japan. The selection is impeccable (although they don't carry DRC), and high-quality wines are sold at reasonable prices. I'll definitely come back to browse more thoroughly.”

“What a terrific spot to buy and sample wines. The customer service is always top notch, the store is spotless, and they have great deals and aLovely selection. Meet a friend there and stay awile or drop in for a sample and chat with the friendly staff.”

“A liquor store is a liquor store at the end of the day. But the people who work there can truly make or break an experience and honey, this location has made it. Not only was the staff helpful, but the cashier man called me an Instagram model. I’m a simple girl and if you give me a compliment I will give a show-stopping review. His energy really made this abc store the best in town and dare I say, the nation.”

“This place has everything and it's all perfect. I have visited 5 times and experienced their breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Everything tastes homemade but elevated with the perfect seasoning and flavors. The quiche is always on point and their biscuit sandwich is best in town. The dessert case is my only complaint because you can't decide on just one thing, it all looks amazing and tastes great. They even have a fair amount of gluten free options that actually taste good. Lastly the thing that puts this place above all other Chapel Hill options are the staff. On every visit everyone has been super friendly, relaxed, and welcoming despite how busy or long the line is. Really can't say enough good things about this place, go and see for yourselves!Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free dessert items that most places do not offer”

“Howdy! Ofcourse, everyone has a right to their opinion, however, as a supporter of local businesses and female entrepreneurs, I'd like to address Ms. Amy Morrow's poor review, simply because I don't want this particular opinion to deter anyone from coming to one of the most quaint local wine shops in town! As a non-biased animal lover who does NOT currently have pets, it's important to note that Southern Village is an incredibly pet friendly neighborhood and Rocks+Acid has accomodated pets and pet parents as evidenced by the Pet Friendly SIGN in front of the establishment. If you don't like pets...then perhaps consider a different venue? In addition, in the 2 years I've visited this wine shop, I have never encountered a loud or annoying pet and this seems to have been an anomaly...not the norm. The owner Paula and her team, strive to provide excellent customer service and if the dog annoyance was brought to anyones attention, it would have been addressed respectfully. There IS an eclectic variety of wine selections and the wine pour on the contrary is quite generous! And the seats? Really? You're going for wine tasting, not dinner! Whether you want to have a solo date with a good book, share some time with your partner or family, or hang out with friend,Rocks and Acid is a prime spot for great wine and a great vibe! 100% will continue going back!”

“This is hands down my favorite ABC store to visit. I don't go to ABC stores often, but when I do I prefer this location. The guys who work here are incredibly friendly and helpful. They greet you upon arrival and ask if you want any help. Definitely accept their help since it will make your trip go by much quicker. I also like how they have a separate local section so you can find that bedlam vodka and conniption gin right away. At the beginning of COVID-19, the employees would grab the items you need for you. Now you can shop for yourself and there is a limit on the number of customers in the building at one time. Masks are required and the employees are also wearing masks. Parking is easy - angle/perpendicular parking is available right out front.”

“Great local area hang out. TVs with soccer are available. Large tables for board games. Digital pour has live draft beer list online and on site. Untappd list is also available and updated. Great diverse draft beer selection along with refrigerated can and bottles. Diverse beer selection.”

“This ABC store is huge with lots of selection and special orders. It is very clean, well organized, very new and pretty chill since you're not on top of other customers. The bourbon alone stretches for most of the wall to the very left around the corner over the back wall until you get to the door to the back of the store. Modern check out so very fast and no waiting of you hit the store at the right time. Definitely recommend for all of your liquor needs. Make sure you bring ID because if you look youngish they might toss you out based on the number of signs on the front door.”

“Amazing experience! Would 100% recommend. Food was delicious and reasonably priced, our server Max was super attentive and funny- along with the rest of the staff, and ambiance was very relaxing. It was our first time trying this place out, but we will be coming back for sure.”

“Mr. Mariakakis is an extremely kind and helpful man that goes out of his way to help his customers. He has a wide selection of foods and wines from around the world. His selection of olives, cheeses, frozen foods and dry goods cannot be found anywhere in the area.”

“Lowes Foods has been impressive. Samples around the store, cafe/ pub is a hidden gem. $1 mimosas on Sundays and coffee drinks are on par with the expensive alternatives. I’d gladly get a latte from Lowes over some of the chains. Bakery is always fantastic. Diana, the cake decorator, hand piped some lovely Minecraft cupcakes for a birthday and kids were super impressed.”

“We are all entitled to our own opinions right? Well here's mine: Location: 5Parking: 5Decor/Ambiance: 5Customer Service: 4Open 24:7 ... that's right seven days a week twenty four hours a day... and in Durham! The best thing smoking in this area. This location is always clean. And they are always stocked with everything I need. The staff is friendly and the location is kool. I'm just excited about it being open 24 hours a day. I wish the hot bar in the Asian bar was open 24 hours a day.”

“The store was clean and the staff was very friendly. The only disappointment was that the men's room was dirty and that the Paper towel dispenser was broken. There was a roll of paper towels sitting off to the side, but I didn't notice it until I was ready to leave. I have been impressed recently with the variety of items, especially in the alternative section, there at Harris Teeter. We will continue to shop there and give them our business.”

“This is a great location. It has a pharmacy, and a pretty good prepared foods section. The store was slated to be expanded into the open lot next to it, but that hasn't happened yet. I can't wait for when they do make it a larger supermarket, and add a second group of self checkout which is sorely needed. That would be my only complaint which is they have only four self checkouts and quite frankly could use twice that number in this location.”

“This Harris Teeter location offers the best subs in town, and their prices are unbeatable. I highly recommend checking them out if you're in the mood for a delicious and affordable sub. Their sushi bar looks great and fresh as well. Hands down, a top notch choice compared to overpriced sub shops!”

“Love this store. Great selection, great customer service. One time i got a product that had mold and i returned and showed them. They apologized, let us replace it with another of same or different brand and were extremely pleasant. It wasn’t their fault, product wasn’t expired, and it wasn’t obvious or easily visible, but they did right by us with no issue. This store is super nice.”

“Almost every time I come down to Pittsboro to visit family we make a stop here. It's either for groceries or just getting coffee! The Starbucks baristas are super friendly and the drinks always come out perfect.”

“A little pricey but the only place in town consistently open til 2. Accepts mobile pay. As I heard a few college students say, "they keep it nice and cool in here." Stay safe; lots of cops hang around.”

“Lovely Village District location and very nice service. They went through a bit of a renovation recently and though this is a mid-sized HT, it does include a hot bar and soup & salad bar with nice selections, as well as a fresh pizza station and a chef's station up front. And sshhh, secret: It is also one of our favorite Starbucks. Far more consistent than corporate locales lately. The baristas are always bright and cheerful, they've never once been out of anything, and they always get our orders correct. Avoid grocery if possible on weekends. Parking and aggressive driving in the lot can be a comically stressful. Also, if you are waiting in line at the register and someone offers to check you out in self checkout, decline politely. LOL. They will not actually help before getting pulled away, and you'll end up bagging and checking out yourself and will have lost your place in the other line.”
