“Best baguettes in the area. Best place to put together a great spread for the unexpected dinner guest coming in an hour. Super Danishes, cakes, and cookies too. I come here for the finest quality local produce, bread, farm fresh eggs, cream and milk. This Weaver St location also carries a limited selection of top quality meats and seafood, grocery items, many fancy cheeses, and prepared dishes. So many local craft beers. Wine selection never disappoints-- you will find something great. I love that I can get the highest quality ingredients and be in and out in fifteen minutes.”

“I don't get to this location often, but whenever I do it's usually well stocked and tidy. Parking is the only issue, but I did luck out today.One thing they do have that not all locations have is self check out. Usually I'm not a fan of it as I know it can be a job eliminator, but when it's flu season the less hands on my items the better.”

“Lowes Foods has been impressive. Samples around the store, cafe/ pub is a hidden gem. $1 mimosas on Sundays and coffee drinks are on par with the expensive alternatives. I’d gladly get a latte from Lowes over some of the chains. Bakery is always fantastic. Diana, the cake decorator, hand piped some lovely Minecraft cupcakes for a birthday and kids were super impressed.”

“When I was shopping there this afternoon, I began to feel light headed and weak. Employees were extremely kind. Brought me a chair to sit down. And then Dian came and asked me if I had had lunch. I had not. She was very concerned and brought some peanut butter crackers for me she stayed with me and had very sweet concern in her eyes. She said,”We are community and need to take care of each other.” She helped me finish shopping and went to the cash register with me and then put on her jacket and walked me to my car. I hugged her and told her she was truly a blessing to me. I am extremely grateful for her kindness and concern. I just want to let everyone know how fortunate we are to have these kind attentive Food Lion folks in Our Food Lion. “Shaquana, one of the store managers is amazing. I met her a couple of months ago when my mom came in and she had some problems with her payment. Shaquana was very kind explain to me everything that happened with my mom and her transaction and basically talk to me about it and ever since that day she is the kindest and sweetest person She is the reason I come to the store is because of her she always greets you with a smile and is always very helpful.”

“Pricey, but close and convenient from my house. Mostly I visit the Amazon return station. The lunch/dinner buffet is comprehensive and tasty** It gets a little bit dried out and not fresh on off peak visits. Also I found it at a price point equal to a dinner out at a full service restaurant. With this in mind it's convient to return something and grab some dinner in a plastic tray with fantastic soups to bring home " since you were there ". It's like buying your milk, bread, and soft drinks at the gas station convenient pricing. Value is in the eye of the consumer. I do chuckle at the nickne an employee shared with me " Whole Paycheck ". Service and staff is fantastic. There is an extensive selection of upscale cheeses. They carry everything you need but not in the national brands you are accustomed to. It's some secret high end Walmart house branded products I'm guessing.I hope this is helpful.Jim.”

“This Food Lion in Chapel Hill has great customer service. Money orders are only 40 cents. Yes, you read it right, 40 cents. The store is very clean, including the men's restrooms . Every time I went to this food, Lion, the customer service was always ? . No matter whether it was a truck day or not, they are always ready to help you find what you need!!”

“The store was clean and the staff was very friendly. The only disappointment was that the men's room was dirty and that the Paper towel dispenser was broken. There was a roll of paper towels sitting off to the side, but I didn't notice it until I was ready to leave. I have been impressed recently with the variety of items, especially in the alternative section, there at Harris Teeter. We will continue to shop there and give them our business.”

“This is a great location. It has a pharmacy, and a pretty good prepared foods section. The store was slated to be expanded into the open lot next to it, but that hasn't happened yet. I can't wait for when they do make it a larger supermarket, and add a second group of self checkout which is sorely needed. That would be my only complaint which is they have only four self checkouts and quite frankly could use twice that number in this location.”

“Love this store. Great selection, great customer service. One time i got a product that had mold and i returned and showed them. They apologized, let us replace it with another of same or different brand and were extremely pleasant. It wasn’t their fault, product wasn’t expired, and it wasn’t obvious or easily visible, but they did right by us with no issue. This store is super nice.”

“Lovely Village District location and very nice service. They went through a bit of a renovation recently and though this is a mid-sized HT, it does include a hot bar and soup & salad bar with nice selections, as well as a fresh pizza station and a chef's station up front. And sshhh, secret: It is also one of our favorite Starbucks. Far more consistent than corporate locales lately. The baristas are always bright and cheerful, they've never once been out of anything, and they always get our orders correct. Avoid grocery if possible on weekends. Parking and aggressive driving in the lot can be a comically stressful. Also, if you are waiting in line at the register and someone offers to check you out in self checkout, decline politely. LOL. They will not actually help before getting pulled away, and you'll end up bagging and checking out yourself and will have lost your place in the other line.”

“I really love the store, the people who work there in the way it is managed. There's a couple of things I will stay away from though: Chicken. I bought the chicken today and though expiration wasn't until January 27 the under part of the chicken that was touching the Styrofoam was yellow and dry and nasty. I will not be buying chicken there anymore Olive oil. What's labeled as olive oil in my experience is not olive oil. I don't know what kind of oil it is but it is not olive.I'll stay away from the "olive oil". Dry roasted almonds. These nuts are rancid. They're rancid and then they've recently packaged them in smaller packages so bumped up the price up for rancid nuts. You're better off buying them raw and toasting them yourself. Other than that this place is great!”
