“Good service. Since it's a 1 person operation, hours are very limited. They close for lunch 1:55-3:00. But that's the price we pay for keeping the convenience of the old downtown post office. The government has proposed closing it several times.”

“I have witnessed countless customers try telling staff how to do their jobs. They have never lashed out.
They don't kiss rings or soothe egos, but they are professional. Customers seem to wanted to be comforted by public service workers instead of trusting the staff's expertise. Oh well.
Been coming here twice a week for two years, and I love it. I respect the staff, and we have built repertoire. ?”
“A heartfelt thank you to Postmaster Mike Steiner.
When I had an issue with a missing package, Mr. Steiner personally
responded to my complaint within a day. He took the time to carefully
review the carrier's scanning records, gave a sincere apology for
what had happened, and addressed the situation internally. His
assessment of where the package had gone turned out to be exactly
right — just as he predicted, it had been mistakenly delivered to
a neighbor's mailbox, and was eventually returned to me.
What truly moved me wasn't just that the issue got resolved, but
the professionalism, genuine care, and respect he showed as a public
servant. After many years in the U.S., this is one of the few times
I have felt truly heard and respected as a customer. Feeling
genuinely listened to when raising a concern is rare, and Mr. Steiner
restored my faith in what good public service can look like.
Mr. Steiner represents the Chapel Hill Post Office with real
integrity. Chapel Hill is fortunate to have him as our Postmaster.”
“Not at the corner like GMaps wants you to believe but half way up the block in front of Investors Title Insurance Company. Opens all the way for the bigger envelope packages. (Some of them don't anymore.) Pickup @ 430 pm.”
