“The most amazing store. I went in looking for parenting/baby books and found more than what I went in for. The prices are really nice, and The Greener Apple store in the front is amazing! As someone who tries to stay the vegan/natural route, there were so many options from snacks to eco friendly household products to beauty/self care items. The owner was so sweet too! Happy 15th anniversary!

“I have had nothing less than an amazing EXPERIENCE each time I have visited MAMA BESSIE'S PLACE.
The staff is very professional, courteous, knowledgeable on there merchandise & some are even able to provide additional support in the form of recommendations on how to get the best use out of certain products.
I also admire the fact that there is always soft music playing in the background to help relax you as you shop. In addition MAMA BESSIE'S has established herself as a reputable dealer of metaphysical stones and items inside of the Charlotte, NC Area.
If a friend or family member were to ask me for recommendations, then I would highly recommend checking out MAMA BESSIE'S PLACE; even if you are just passing through it is worth a visit while in Charlotte, NC.”

“This place was awesome.. what a great idea . Was in the habitat store and must walk by this coffee shop a dozen times but aways in a hurry to stop in . Stop in for just a cup of coffee and muffin for lunch and was told of Julia adventure in life and her humanity to helping others .. my son and daughter law were both in the Peace Corp. In the mountains of Peru. But the real thing is the use books and prices a great deal by its self .. I'm in the process of cleaning our book case now and bringing them some books that they can use. I Promise to stop in more often in the future.”
“I popped in to change up my usual wfh routine. This place is so pleasant. The staff was friendly, my London Fog was delicious and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. I also love that the bookstore is a part of the space. The place is definitely a gem! ☺️”

“This center has been a true place of warmth and welcoming to me. You don't have to have any experience in meditation or Buddhism to attend. This place is for anyone and everyone! The teachers are all wonderful and it has improved my life greatly from being patient and calm, to letting go of anger. Everyone should give it a try ???”

“These guys are fantastic! My map came in the promised window and they provided consistent updates on delivery status. Most importantly though, the map itself is beautiful! “I don't like the return policy (a week after classes start) and the no weekend hours. But the process of returning my rented textbooks at the end of the month seemed ok. Unfortunately, I won't know if they were ok with the books because they don't check the condition right there in front of you nor provide any type of document noting return.”
