“I just wanted to share a quick note about my recent stay and recognize the Guest Service Manager. From what I saw she was doing a really great job making sure everything ran smoothly and that guests were taken care of during checkin. The line was wrapped in the lobby and she stepped right on in to handle me. I came in town for a concert and was running extremely behind. So her getting me checked in quickly made my day. I also noticed how supportive and respectful she came across with the staff, which created a positive vibe throughout the hotel. It honestly made the whole place feel organized and well managed. Everyone was nice but I want to acknowledge her. I just wanted to make sure someone passed along that she is doing an excellent job.”

“Nice experience. One night for the Club World Cup. Location was great right by all the restaurants and Starbucks was right around the corner. A couple of blocks from NASCAR hall of fame and both stadiums. Rooms were clean and cool. Parking was easy just self park and it’s right under the hotel. No issues. Would stay again.”

“Everything was great except: when the AC turns on the it blows on the bed headboard and on our heads. The vent needs to be redirected.
Also, on Saturday morning, about 7:00, I heard a leaf blower. I looked out our 4th floor window and saw the person using it the blow off the parking lot. While my wife and I had been awake for 15 minutes, what about the customers that had a late night and were hoping to sleep in. If it was a contractor, they need to be talked to. An employee, the same thing.”

“The Westin was Perfect for access to the convention center. Was in town for a volleyball tournament. The Lounge was closed due to the snow storm for the weekend but I was confused because the coffee shop and the restaurant was still open over the weekend. That was the only reason I booked this specific location for the breakfast and snacks throughout the day as a platinum elite member. The front desk was giving a credit to use per day at the coffee shop or restaurant to make up for it. All the staff were great! The latte I had was chefs kiss. It was sooo good! It offered breakfast items and a range of salads, sandwiches, drinks, etc. The restaurant had a nice vibe but it was hard for us to find something on the menu that we truly desired for dinner. So we opted into trying something new. Self parking was easy as well! Whole Foods is right beside the hotel which was cool. The bed was made up very lovely with an extra blanket and I couldn’t wait to lay down in it. I would stay here again.”

“We just checked in and within 20 minutes the quality and service has been 5 star.
Mike helped us with baggage and was excellent showing us around the room and being hospitable.
Connor at the front desk heard my daughter left her stuffed dog at home and within 10 minutes brought a stuffed animal and kids bag to the room for my daughter.
The room is also excellent.

“One of my favorites to stay when when visiting the Charlotte area. I've always had a pleasant stay here. I always end my night with a drink of course from the bar and Marquita was definitely the bartender I needed during this stay. The drink was perfection and her service was even better. She was nice and easy to talk to. Definitely hope she's here still when we return in a few months. Very pleasant with the others at the bar as well. She was awesome.
Rooms: Clean, quiet, comfortable. One of the reasons why I always stay at this one.
Nearby activities: Shopping and eating spots very close.
Walkability: Walked to a near by spot earlier and it was quiet. No busy traffic. Roads were clear and very nice area.
Food and drinks: Food was good. Wings and fries. Drinks were amazing! Thanks Marquita!”
“I struggle writing this review because while we liked certain aspects of the stay/hotel they were some things I wanted to note that surprised us.The location is perfect, it's easy to find and parking is easily accessible. Once we arrived we got to the rooms and couldn't figure out which one was actually ours because they're numbered 1-5 and our reservation didn't indicate what number we had. I called the manager and left a voicemail asking but never heard back our entire stay even though the reservation notes indicated to call or text if needed since there is no staff on site. We ended up just going down the hall putting our code in each door until we found our own. The rooms are fantastic, they're clean and comfortable and I love the vibe of each room.Directly outside the rooms is a full bar that opens at 4 and goes until what we thought was midnight but ended up being closer to 1AM. They're open to the public and it gets packed so be prepared for a lot of people in the hallway and standing outside your room. It is loud and while we did find earplugs the hotel provided just be prepared for how loud it will be and how long into the evening it goes. Even once closing the staff cleaning up was chatting as normal until about 2:30AM and you could hear all of those conversations as well. All that said, the bar has an incredible cocktail menu and the bartender and other staff were all extremely friendly so if you stay here definitely grab a drink to try.Overall though we liked Refuge, the rooms were comfortable and nice but there were just a few things we encountered that we weren't expecting that contributed to a lower star rating.”

“Boutique hotel in downtown Charlotte. Staff was courteous and very helpful. Great place to stay in downtown Charlotte. Rooms are not cheap but our experience was great.
Rooms: Rooms are a little small but nicely set up.
Nearby activities: Lots of great restaurants nearby. Great downtown location.
Safety: We walked around at night for dinner and felt safe in the area around the hotel.
Walkability: Easy walking distance to several places downtown
Food and drinks: Food quality in the restaurant was great. We had them bring in lunch for our meeting (Southern fare lunch menu) and it was great.”

“We have stayed in quite a few different motels over the years. The Motel 6 in Charlotte-Coliseum NC is by far the best. The 1st night the desk clerk worked hard to make sure we had the correct room. The rooms are very clean. The staff are always helpful and friendly. We have had issues with roaches, but I can tell it is from neighboring rooms. The staff are working to get rid of them. So far, there haven't been any loud neighbors. I would definitely recommend this motel.”

“I stayed at this location this past weekend. The rooms were spacious, clean, and straight to the point. They had a hot continental breakfast, and the front desk staff was okay, not overly welcoming, but did their job. The hotel itself was decorated nice and front door lock after a certain time for security and can only be opened with your room key. I would be nackbto visit if I am in the area again.”
