“Just had my tires replaced and I cannot get over how wonderful and nice everybody was and they were able to fit us in last minute and they got all of our tires swapped out and balanced and everything in less than 2 hours. I will never go anywhere else for tires”

“Recently had 2 separate issues. One was car was shaking hard at 60-70mph. I assumed alignment and took it to them. The mechanic took a look and told me to go get new tires. Fixed problem. Then my battery was dying every few days. Took it to battery shop that tested battery and said it was fine. Took it to another shop and they told me alternator with estimate of $500 to fix. Scheduled appointment for a week later. Happened past Clyde Alignment again so stopped to get their opinion(since he was honest about the tires) and he checked and said battery wasn't good and recommended new battery. Went directly to parts store and had battery replaced(boy have they gotten expensive) and now weeks later it is still working fine. Both times this shop could have done the work and made the money but recommended other fixes that did not involve them. Really like their honesty.”

“I am posting under my maiden name because this was another instance of GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM DOMESTIC AUTO! Once again I have to highly recommend Domestic Auto in Clyde. The owner, Alan Trantham, is the most honest and tenacious mechanic I've ever seen. My car had a major safety issue going on. I would be midway going up a hill and it would go into neutral even though I was driving and it would say "Hill Assist Malfunction". I literally rolled backwards down a hill into traffic. Thank God I was able to get to the middle lane as I rolled. It turns out that there was a spacer missing under one of the sensors in my car. We're not sure when it went missing. But every time the car would go into gear a metal piece from the transmission would barely touch the sensor and it would basically deprogram the sensor because it is magnetic. Alan figured out that something had touched that sensor when it shouldn't have. He fabricated his own spacer and it worked so he went to the dealership and got the correct one for the car and replaced his fabricated one. That little metal part that looks like the tab on the top of a Dr. Pepper can caused me such problems and such headaches but it is FIXED now. Alan drove it around and made sure it was completely safe before giving it back to us. My daughter drives that car and has had zero problems. I just wanted to recommend Domestic Auto once again because I've never seen a mechanic more dedicated to taking care of his customers. Thank you to Alan, his son for the willingness to test drive it even when it was RISKY and to his wife for the always friendly customer service at checkout. Y'all have a customer for life! ❤️”
